Stumax Aircraft is the world leader in electric ducted fan technology. Many years ago, when all the rest were producing EDF systems which were loud and annoying, Stumax Aircraft introduced the first ever EDF system designed to sound right, the SM110-52. Fast forward and now all the EDF manufacturers are making multi-bladed fans in the hope that they will sound good. Some do sound good but are hopelessly inefficient. Some are efficient but only if set up a certain way. Designing practical, efficient multi-bladed ducted fans is not for beginners, which is probably why some of the leading EDF manufacturers have approached us to design their fans. A quick look at the competition and you'll see that we declined. You'll also see just how many original Stumax features have been copied by even the best of the rest. We innovate, they imitate.
