Dr Chris Kearney

Dr Kearney trained in medicine at the University of Melbourne and then specialist dermatology in Melbourne, and the United Kingdom. He has undergone additional specialist training in Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery, laser, and procedural dermatology in Perth, and New York. A minimum of 14 years formal training with ongoing written and clinical examinations is required after entering medical school to become fully qualified as a specialist dermatologist and a specialist in Mohs micrographic surgery. Dr Kearney has worked as a consultant dermatologist at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. He is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and Member of the American College of Mohs Surgery. Only doctors who have completed the 14 years of training and passed all associated examinations are accepted as members of these colleges. He was awarded travelling scholarships from the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 1998 and 2004. He is a published author in the international dermatology literature including the American Journal of Dermatologic Surgery and the Australasian Journal of Dermatology. Dr Jemima Fisher

Dr Jemima Fisher trained as a specialist dermatologist in Sydney and is a fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. Dr Fisher studied medicine at the University of New South Wales, graduating in 1998 with honours after completing a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Medical Science. After working in general medicine for a number of years, she then specialised in dermatology in Sydney and Newcastle. She also completed a Masters of Public Health degree at the University of New South Wales She was awarded the prestigious Founders' Medal for Procedural Dermatology, 2010, as the top graduate in procedural dermatology in Australia. Dr Fisher has a wide range of experience after practicing dermatology at many major teaching hospitals including the Skin and Cancer Foundation, Prince of Wales Hospital, Royal Newcastle Centre, John Hunter Hospital, Westmead Hospital and St. Vincent's Hospital, in addition to Sydney Children's Hospital and the Children's Hospital at Westmead. She has also practiced at a number of peripheral locations including Coffs Harbour, Bourke, Brewarrina, Griffith, Maitland, Wyong, Wollongong, Kiama and Nowra. Dr Fisher completed her internship and residency at St. Vincent's Hospital and the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. She initially commenced specialist training in oncology, working as a radiation oncology registrar at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Dr Fisher is a published author in peer-reviewed international dermatology literature, including the Australasian Journal of Dermatology, and has lectured at national dermatological conferences. Dr Vanessa Paddon

Dr Paddon is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. She trained in medicine at the University of Sydney and graduated in 2004 with Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Medical Science degrees. Following two years of clinical work, Dr Paddon pursued full-time research at the University of Sydney. She received the University of Sydney Postgraduate Award for her research into molecular events involved in the progression of non-melanoma skin cancer and was awarded a Master of Medicine postgraduate degree for this work in 2009. For this research, she also received the Young Investigator Award from the Australasian Society of Dermatological Research. During this time, Dr Paddon also completed a Master of Medicine postgraduate degree in Infection and Immunity at the University of Sydney. Dr Paddon is a visiting medical officer at St Vincent's Hospital in Sydney where she is involved in providing specialist dermatology clinics, care of inpatients and the teaching of medical students, junior doctors and dermatologists-in-training. She is also a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of New South Wales and lectures to medical students. Dr Paddon is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.
