Lynda Stedman

Job Titles:
  • Enrolled Agent / President
Celebrating 20 Years of Tax Service: For the last 20 years, it has been an honor and privilege to work with clients and assisting them with their tax preparation needs. Each tax return tells a story and I truly enjoy getting to know the people behind the numbers. Like a puzzle, I love putting all the pieces together and see how they fit, while learning more about the people and family they represent. I greatly value the trust that clients have bestowed upon me and my firm. I was very fortunate to stumble into a career and a business that I love. I have always had a love for numbers and an accounting background. For many years, my husband and I owned a business selling P.O.S. systems to fine dining restaurants. In 2002, we decided to close that business and I had the opportunity to figure out what I wanted to be when I "grew up". I found myself in a H & R Block class, which gave me the opportunity to do two things I enjoy, helping people and working with numbers. Though I loved the education that I received in the class, I was not comfortable with "selling" products and the pricing practices that a chain store tax preparation experience would entail. Fortunately for me, a classmate of my was none other than Janet Flanagan's husband Bill and he introduced me to Janet...talk about being at the right place at the right time! Janet and I were a great match from the start and in 2005, she entrusted me to purchase the business she had worked so hard to build and Tax Time was off to a great start! Janet and I continued to work together for many years sharing the same philosophies of customer service and excellent quality tax prep. It has truly been an honor to continue on after her retirement and to grow the business while honoring my entrepreneurial roots.. Thanks to our loyal clients and their referrals, growing the business has been a great success. I am very humbled and grateful to our of our clients who have helped us to become the business that we are today. While it may seem that I "live" at the office during tax season, the rest of my time I have much to be grateful for. I have been very happily married to my wonderful husband Mark for 35 years. We have two grown children, who we couldn't be more proud of. Brittney, who is a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) for the V.A. and son Taylor who serves our country in the Air National Guard, as a Pilot and a 2nd Lieutenant. Taylor recently earned his "wings" and is presently in training to fly the C-130. We thoroughly enjoy being empty nesters and we share our home with our rescue dog, Jack (aka Jack the Dog) and our "granddog' Dakota. We live in a wonderful community in Central MA where we love to host get togethers with our extended family (I am the youngest of 7). Spending time with family is my true joy and makes for a very happy and blessed life. My other loves: my Grand Puppies, Travel (especially long road trips), Fantasy Football and of course, The Patriots. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about me. This is a relationship business and I love the opportunity to learn about each of our clients and their lives. If you are looking for a firm that will treat you like "family", please consider Tax Time.
