Colby Argo

Colby Argo, M.D., is a board-certified eye surgeon specializing in cataract, cornea, anterior segment, ocular surface disease, and refractive surgery. He grew up on a farm outside of Liberty, Nebraska. He went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. His postgraduate training included a medical and surgical internship at the University of South Dakota and an ophthalmology residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Argo joined Eye Surgical Associates after completing a fellowship in cornea and external disease at the Cincinnati Eye Institute where he evaluated and treated patients from across the country and around the world. He also performs LASIK and other forms of refractive surgery as part of Sutton Linder & Sutton. He is excited to return to southeast Nebraska and provide specialized care for patients in the region. Dr. Argo is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Nebraska Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He has professional appointments at Lincoln Surgical Hospital, Bryan Health, CHI Health St. Elizabeth, and Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln. He will soon hold clinic and perform surgery at Community Memorial Hospital in Marysville, Kansas. Outside of work, Dr. Argo enjoys reading, running, golfing, and attending Cornhusker athletic events. He and his wife, Ellen, have one son. Together, they enjoy being active members in their local church community.

Dr. Greg Sutton

Dr. Greg Sutton, a Lincoln native and a married father of three, has been practicing medicine since he was board-certified in 1982. Dr. Sutton specializes in LASIK, cataracts, glaucoma, anterior segment and corneal transplants. He received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where he completed his residency in ophthalmology. Thereafter, he completed a fellowship in cataracts and cornea in Savannah, Georgia, and a fellowship in glaucoma at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Dr. Sutton is board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and is a member of the Nebraska Medical Association, Lancaster County Medical Society and Nebraska Association of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. He has four active professional appointments: Lincoln Surgical Hospital in Lincoln, St. Elizabeth Community Health Center in Lincoln, Memorial Heath Care Center in Seward and Beatrice Community Hospital in Beatrice. Dr. Sutton is married to Margaret Kontras Sutton, M.D., a dermatologist. His hobbies and interests include: traveling, exercise, reading and spending time with his family.

Dr. Jordan Rixen

Dr. Jordan Rixen specializes in cornea, cataracts, anterior segment, ICL implants and laser vision correction. He graduated from Iowa State University and received his medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. He completed an internship at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin followed by a residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. After residency, he remained at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics to complete a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Rixen has clinics and performs surgery in Lincoln, Crete, Syracuse, Tecumseh and Nebraska City. Dr. Rixen is board certified and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Lancaster County Medical Society and the Iowa Eye Association. Dr. Rixen has six professional appointments: Lincoln Surgical Hospital in Lincoln, St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center in Lincoln, Bryan Hospitals in Lincoln, Crete Municipal Hospital in Crete, Johnson County Hospital in Tecumseh, Community Memorial Hospital in Syracuse, St. Mary's Community Hospital in Nebraska City. He and his wife, Erin, have two sons and a daughter. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys running, traveling and spending time with his family.

Dr. Vincent J. Sutton

Dr. Vincent J. Sutton is a native of Lincoln, Nebraska and a married father of four. He was board-certified in 1981 and is licensed in both Nebraska and Kansas. Specializing in LASIK, cataracts and refractive surgery, Dr. Sutton received his medical degree and completed his residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed a fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Dr. Vince Sutton is board-certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Nebraska Medical Association, Lancaster County Medical Society and Nebraska Association of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. He is an associate professor in the Ophthalmology Department of the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Vince Sutton has six active professional appointments: Lincoln Surgical Hospital in Lincoln, St. Elizabeth Community Health Center in Lincoln, York General Hospital in York and Community Memorial Hospital in Marysville, Kansas. Dr. Sutton's hobbies and interests include: reading, watching movies and exercising.

Samuel L. Thomsen

Samuel L. Thomsen, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in Laser Vision Correction, Cataracts and Glaucoma Management and Surgery. Dr. Thomsen is a native of the Beatrice area and graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University. He received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Society. Dr. Thomsen completed his ophthalmology residency at the Mason Eye Institute at the University of Missouri. He went on to specialize in glaucoma by completing a fellowship at the Dean McGee Eye Institute at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Sam Thomsen joined Eye Surgical Associates and Sutton Linder & Sutton in August of 2020. He is a member of the America Glaucoma Society, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and Lancaster County Medical Society. He has professional appointments at Lincoln Surgical Hospital, BryanHealth, CHI Health St. Elizabeth and Nebraska Surgery Center in Lincoln along with Jefferson County Hospital in Fairbury and Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva, NE. Dr. Thomsen and his wife, Gaby, have a son, Ezra and are excited to introduce him to their love of Husker sports. They enjoy spending time outside, gardening, traveling to state and national parks, camping, hiking, skiing and other sporting activities. Through their strong faith and involvement in their church, they have enjoyed medical missionary work to Nepal and Haiti. Dr. Thomsen is more than an avid sports fan, he has completed 7 full marathons, 4 half marathons and successfully climbed and summited Mt. Rainier. One of his dreams is to climb the ‘Seven Summits'.
