Plano General Insurance was located in North Texas in Plano, Texas until July 2007. This office was established in the 1970's and was also owned by Richard E. Preston. His son John E. Preston and wife Shelly have run this agency for 18 years. After commuting back and forth from Plano to Childress on the weekends, John and Shelly have closed the office in Plano. Both offices are now being run from our Main Office in Childress, Texas. We enjoyed our time in the city, but it is nice to be back to our roots and with our family... Established in 1932 in Childress, Texas by Tom R. Preston, his small town agency has grown into a two locations. Tom and his wife Agnes prided themselves in the small town atmosphere.
