With 25 years of public relations and marketing experience, Adam J. Segal has grown a successful, nationally recognized agency servicing clients and leading their media relations, marketing, advertising, and other public relations efforts around the country. In his work for entertainment, corporate, foundation/non-profit, and policy/political clients throughout the past decade, Adam has advised clients on, and developed, branding and advertising campaigns across a wide range of media formats including print, television, radio and podcasts, digital, and outdoors. His work has acheived diverse communications goals, reaching in some cases very specific, influential target audiences and in other cases hundreds of millions of people across the United States, North America, and around the world. Adam has successfully placed clients on every major network and many cable network television programs and in every major national newspaper and weekly news magazine. He has booked clients on leading podcasts and designed campaigns to reach experts, celebrities, YouTubers, and social media influencers. He has designed and executed complex digital strategies for a wide range of clients with diverse goals from sales and fundraising to advocacy and policy actions. And he has produced dozens of notable events around the country from political campaign announcements and Capitol Hill press conferences to product launches, gala dinners and a high-profile rock concert. Adam spent 11 years working on the Black farmers disrimination case for the National Black Farmers Association and the farmers and part of that time on the Cobell Native American trust fund case and those who were affected. Both cases were ultimately settled, passed through Congress in 2010 and approved by the court in 2011. Adam has served on the faculty of Georgetown University where he taught the Master's level Entertainment Communications course. Prior to joining Georgetown, he served as a Faculty Lecturer in the Master's of Arts in Communication program at Johns Hopkins University's Zanvyl Krieger School of Arts and Sciences Advanced Academic Programs for eight years. He designed and taught a number of courses at Hopkins including, most recently, Internet and Mobile Strategy Lab (Fall 2010). He has been profiled in Johns Hopkins magazines four times. Adam founded and directed the Hispanic Voter Project at Johns Hopkins University. In this role he appeared on NBC Nightly News, CNN, MSNBC, Bloomberg TV, C-SPAN, National Public Radio (NPR) and more. He contributed a chapter to "The Mass Media and Latino Politics: Studies of U.S. Media Content, Campaign Strategies and Survey Research: 1984-2004" (Routledge/Lawrence Erlbaum Associates, 2008). His latest research on the Hispanic vote during the 2008 presidential election will be published in a forthcoming book. Adam earned his Master's of Arts in Government from Johns Hopkins University in Washington, DC. He earned his Bachelor's of Arts in political science and Judaic studies from The George Washington University.
