The Energy Group Company, Inc (TEG) was established in 1988 by founders Kelly Needles and Les Wilson to serve institutional clients in Iowa. Hospitals, colleges, and educational facilities sought the expertise of TEG to develop comprehensive energy management plans as a way to lower operational costs. In the 1990s TEG applied the concept of energy management to the community model, helping local governments leverage energy efficiency to improve vitality and aid economic development.
