Alvin B. Jackson

Alvin Jackson is the Principal of the Jackson Group, which specializes in providing strategic counsel in the areas of business development, sales and government relations. His focus is primarily in the areas of defense, aviation and aerospace. He also helps these entities form strategic relationships with like-minded organizations. Before going back into the world of consulting, Mr. Jackson served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing, for Insitu, Inc. with responsibility for company sales, marketing and government relations. Insitu, Inc., located in Bingen, Washington, is now a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company. Insitu, Inc. specializes in the design, development and production of small autonomous aircraft for Unmanned Aircraft Systems for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance in both military and commercial aviation applications. It achieved tremendous growth in revenue occurred under Mr. Jackson's leadership with sales jumping from $84 million to $254 million in his 3-year tenure. Prior to joining Insitu, Inc., Mr. Jackson served as Principal of the Jackson Group in Washington, D.C., which specialized in helping its clients achieve their objectives. He provided strategic counsel on national security, foreign affairs policy, homeland security, aviation/transportation, and business development. Before forming his own company, Mr. Jackson served as Director, Legislative Affairs for the Boeing Company where he primarily worked on issues concerning defense, foreign military sales, national security and commercial aviation. His career in Washington, D.C. began 18 years ago at the General Aviation Manufacturer's Association where he represented manufacturers of general aviation aircraft, engines, avionics and component parts. During his tenure at GAMA, Mr. Jackson helped enact the General Aviation Revitalization Act (1994), which enabled the general aviation industry, decimated by product liability, to re-open their production lines and hire 25,000 people over a 5-year period. Mr. Jackson has a BS degree in Aviation Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University. Mr. Jackson received the Embry-Riddle Graduate of the Last Decade Award 2000, the Distinguished Graduate Award from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, and mentors young people in a variety of settings. He also serves on the Embry Riddle University's President's Advisory Board; and Brigham Young University's Marriot Business School National Advisory Committee. He also serves in a volunteer leadership (CEO) capacity for the Thomas Jefferson Center for Constitutional Studies, which educates citizens and government officials about the U.S. Constitution in the tradition of the Founding Fathers and to motivate and inspire the people to get involved. Mr. Jackson resides in Williamsburg, VA with his wife, Juleen and their 3 of their 5 children; Mary Alice (16); Alvin III (13); and Marie (9). Kayla (21) is married and attends Brigham Young University and Franklin (18) attends Duke University. ​

Barbara Cosgriff brings more than twenty years of experience providing distinctively informed and effective perspectives to the public policy and the business arena. Her multi-industry accomplishments as a strategist, advocate and vibrant expert of capital markets, healthcare, and financial services span Capitol Hill, Wall Street and Main Street. Barbara has been a strategic counselor to corporations, associations, coalitions, and not-for-profit organizations helping them to navigate matters arising from dynamic public policy environments. She has worked to develop, manage, and execute effective business-informed public policy programs to reach policymakers and opinion leaders at all levels of government and the private sector, both within and outside the U.S. Barbara possesses technical expertise in many aspects of healthcare, financial and commercial regulation and the global capital markets, and has guided leaders in financial services on issues such as regulatory reform, compliance, and enforcement; litigation communication; anti-trust; congressional and other legislative inquiry; corporate governance, and market practices. As the Senior Vice President for Public Policy and External Affairs, Barbara was responsible for global public policy and external relations at Medco Health Solutions, the world's most advanced pharmacy benefit manager. Her leadership successfully differentiated Medco by enhancing the company's reputation - in state capitals, in Washington, internationally and across the clinical community - as the "go to" resource for objective policy leadership and innovative healthcare solutions. She was responsible for identifying and addressing policies that supported an expanding portfolio of international businesses through the execution of state, federal and international lobbying efforts. Her leadership with domestic and international industry organizations, think tanks, cause-related organizations and academia was integral to Medco's clinical initiatives' successes. Prior to joining Medco, Barbara was admitted to the partnership of Grant Thornton as National Managing Principal for Public Policy and External Affairs, where she created and led their external and public affairs programs. By sharpening Grant Thornton policy positions and then directing its efforts with key public opinion stakeholders, her efforts affected positively the policymaking process. Recognizing that laws, regulations, and perceptions define business opportunities - as well as the firm's competitive landscape and the larger capital markets - Barbara's Public Policy and External Affairs group drove the firm's views on important issues thereby portraying Grant Thornton as a uniquely thoughtful and credible voice in public policy and the capital markets circles. Her work transformed the firm's reach and influence. Barbara was a member of the firm's National Leadership Team. Previously, Barbara held several high-level positions at the NASDAQ Stock Market. As Vice President of the Corporate Client Group, she was the senior executive responsible for business development and client relationships for 1,450 NASDAQ companies in the Eastern United States. As Chief of Staff to the President of NASDAQ, she established the business strategy that successfully attracted the majority of IPOs to list with NASDAQ. She built data-based partnerships that drove loyalty by listed companies by developing analytically-derived documentation to demonstrate the value of a NASDAQ listing. Further, she established internal performance measures, accountability standards, and training to assure the highest level of support to listed companies. Earlier in her career, Barbara spent years in increasingly responsible government affairs roles on behalf of the insurance industry, where she formulated legislative strategy and policy on a broad range of issues in the Washington political and policy environment. She served on the audit staffs for the accounting firms Arthur Andersen & Co., and Coopers & Lybrand. Barbara holds a B.A. in Business Administration/Accounting from the University of Washington. She continued her studies at The George Washington University and earned an M.B.A. in International Business as the competitively-awarded sole Scottish Rite Foundation Fellow for the State of Washington.

Dana Marston developed and honed her skills in policy, operations, and logistics management over more than a decade working in public and government affairs. With an exceptional understanding of the intersection between business and government, she's successfully navigated the cultures of Fortune 50 companies, national law firms, and non-profits. Known for her discretion and attention to detail, she's also accomplished in advocacy, relationship management, and communications. As part of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips' government affairs and public policy practice, Ms. Marston provided clients with advice and guidance on interacting with the U.S. Congress and Executive Branch in a variety of policy areas including digital currencies, cybersecurity, and transportation, among others. She also assisted clientele in developing and implementing strategic advocacy, grassroots and grasstops campaigns to educate and influence policymakers. An expert in project operations, Ms. Marston is noted for her work with leading national nonprofit organizations in their pursuit of forward-thinking reform aimed at lifting people out of poverty. In this capacity, she managed key elements of a partnership between Catholic Charities USA and the University of Notre Dame focused on driving 21st-century academic research and social innovation to create scalable solutions to domestic poverty. Prior to joining Manatt, Ms. Marston served as director of strategic initiatives for Capitol Management Initiatives (CMI), a leading Washington, D.C.-based strategy and public affairs firm. Ms. Marston joined CMI after more than nine years with Anheuser-Busch Companies, where she served as chief of staff for the vice president of government affairs and manager of the company's influential Washington, D.C., office. In this role, she managed a $4.8 million budget while coordinating both federal and internal reporting of government, lobbying and charitable activities and ensured compliance at all levels. Ms. Marston also coordinated the company's promotional and political engagement for two presidential campaign cycles. She played a key role in the transformation and growth of the company's government affairs operation before, during and after its merger with InBev. Throughout her tenure with the company, she was successful in coordinating with all levels of management as well as corporate partners, such as lobbying groups, charitable organizations and government entities. Doug Lee is an entrepreneur and an experienced Tribal leader. He is an enrollee of the White Earth Nation, where he has served since 2018 as a delegate to the Minnesota Chippewa Constitution Convention and was the Delegation Chair from 2019 to 2021. He has been a leader on the Total Spectrum Green Team that developed plans for White Earth to invest in clean energy production. Before joining the private sector, Jeremy served as the Chief of Staff to the Georgia Senate President Pro Tempore. Jeremy served Governor Nathan Deal in various ways prior to beginning his work in the Georgia Senate. Patrick Robertson has spent nearly two decades in Washington and advises executive teams, boards of directors and senior decision-makers on public policy issues that pose opportunities and challenges to their organizations' enterprise values. Patrick's expertise is in the fields of tax, energy, telecommunications, trade, and transportation. During his career, Patrick successfully represented a range of clients including Fortune 50 companies, small associations, a territorial government, and others. He coordinates a 75-member trade association, handling all aspects of its operation and leads its lobbying strategy. Patrick's successes include reviving a preservation tax credit after it was eliminated early in the tax reform process of 2017. In addition, he has navigated other legislative challenges like the proposed regulation of an industry and government attacks on specific products or business lines. At the same time, Patrick designed custom plans to introduce businesses to Washington or to roll out new facilities, changing employee mixes, and updated messaging or branding. He has also planned grassroots fly ins and strategized how best to use grassroots and grass tops support. Patrick spent 10 years as a Managing Director at FTI Consulting and as a Partner at C2 GROUP, highly regarded bipartisan government relations and lobbying firms. In 2019 he founded Confluence Government Relations to continue that work. Prior to joining C2 GROUP, Patrick served on the staff of Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) for nine years, the last five as Deputy to the Chief of Staff. He also served as Campaign Manager for Senator Rockefeller's 2008 re-election campaign. During his time on Capitol Hill, Patrick helped the Senator distill and attack problems and shaped solutions on a wide spectrum of issues from economic development to the complexities of the tax code. He worked closely with the Senate Finance Committee on tax bills, trade policy and Trade Adjustment Assistance issues. In addition, he tackled telecommunications and transportation issues on the Senate Commerce Committee. Steve Gordon is referred to as the "dean of Republican political guidance." He was the National Political Director in 2014 for Senator Cory Gardner and had a 19-year association with retired Senator and Assistant Republican Leader Jon Kyl.
