Attorney Leonard Ullian founded his own law firm in 1978 and his son, Attorney John Ullian, joined the firm after finishing law school. John practiced with his father until 2010 when Leonard Ullian, unfortunately, passed away. John started his own law practice in 2010 and Amy Puliafico joined the firm in 2013. They have carried on Leonard Ullian's tradition of treating each client with kindness and respect, and providing quality legal services. Amy Puliafico joined The Law Firm of Ullian and Associates, P.C. in 2013. She represents clients on the South Shore and the Boston area in consumer bankruptcy (Chapter 7, 11 and 13) and divorce and family law issues. Amy received her undergraduate degree from Boston University and her law degree from Suffolk University Law School in 2011. While at Suffolk Law, Amy was a member of the Journal of High Technology Law. Her article "Offshore Wind: What Steps Need to be Taken to Ensure it has a Future in America" was published by the Journal in 2011. She is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. During her career, Amy has represented clients in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 at trustee hearings and in court hearings, and prepared hundreds of motions and pleadings. Amy has represented individuals during their divorce from the initial meeting all the way through the final hearing. Amy also maintains the firm's social media accounts. Amy and her college, John Ullian, wrote two books on bankruptcy and divorce. Amy is married and lives on the South Shore.

John Ullian

John Ullian is a respected attorney who has practiced law in Massachusetts for more than 37 years. He assists clients on the South Shore, the Boston area, and in the other communities throughout Eastern Massachusetts in the following matters: consumer bankruptcy (Chapter 7, 11 and 13); divorce; child custody and support; divorce mediation; and school law/special education law. Today, John runs The Law Firm of Ullian & Associates, P.C., and is licensed to practice in both Massachusetts and Florida. He serves as an arbitrator with the Massachusetts Bar Association Fee Arbitration Board and he was also appointed as a hearing officer by the Board of Bar Overseers to a three-year term effective January 1, 2020. John's father, Leonard Ullian, started the firm in 1978, and his philosophy of treating clients how you would want to be treated is still the practice today. John received his undergraduate degree from Ohio Wesleyan, his law degree from University of Toledo Law School, a Masters in Education from Northeastern University, and his Doctorate in Education from Boston University. During his career, attorney John Ullian has represented thousands of clients at trustee hearings, in court hearings on motions, pretrials, and trials, and during negotiations at various stages of litigation. John wrote two books with his colleague, Amy Puliafico, one dealing with bankruptcy and one on divorce. In addition, John wrote a publication on school law. He handles divorce mediation for couples who want an alternative to traditional divorce process, and he also accepts appointments as a Guardian Ad Litem (G.A.L.) in the Probate Courts in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
