Christopher Desmond is the Chief Appellate Attorney at Ven Johnson Law, PLC. His career includes experience in both state and federal courts, and at both the trial and appellate levels. Chris graduated Magna Cum Laude from Michigan State University College of Law in 2007, where he was selected as a King Scholar and received multiple jurisprudence awards. During law school, he worked for three federal judges and for the office of general counsel of a multinational corporation.
Following law school, Chris worked as a research attorney at the Michigan Court of Appeals. He then served as a law clerk for Judge Cynthia Stephens at the Michigan Court of Appeals. During his five years of dedicated service to that Court, Chris directly worked on hundreds of cases and a wide range of legal issues. Since 2012, he has used every bit of his experience to advocate for the clients of Ven Johnson Law.
Nathan J Edmonds graduated magna cum laude from Detroit College of Law in 1994. He was a senior partner at a prominent Detroit defense firm Secrest Wardle before joining Ven Johnson Law. Mr. Edmonds is "AV Preeminent" rated (the highest rating) by Martindale Hubbell and has been selected by his peers as a "Michigan Super Lawyer." since 2102. He has also been named a Dbusiness Detroit "Top Lawyer," US News and World Report "Top Lawyers" and was recently named "Lawyer of the Year" by US News. Mr. Edmonds has tried over 50 cases to verdicts.
Mr. Edmonds and his wife, Nicole, reside in Waterford near Sylvan Lake and are members of the Oakland County Boat Club. Mr. Edmonds has two adult children, Katherine and Joshua.
Mr. Edmonds enjoys travel and golf in his spare time.

Paul F. Doherty has developed a reputation for handling complex litigation matters and is often called upon to take on cases other lawyers felt were unwinnable. Mr. Doherty is "AV" rated (the highest rating) by Martindale Hubbell and was recently selected by his peers as a "Michigan Super Lawyer."
Mr. Doherty was appointed by the Wayne County Circuit Court to act as Plaintiff's Liaison Counsel on behalf of the State of Michigan to the Federal Multi-district Litigation involving a defective medical product. Mr. Doherty was also selected as a member of the Plaintiff's Steering Committee for cases consolidated in the Wayne County Circuit Court.
Mr. Doherty and his wife, Canice, are the proud parents of four daughters. The Doherty family resides in Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan.
Mr. Doherty is a past President of the Catholic Lawyers Society, is a member of the Incorporated Society of Irish American Lawyers, and is a member of the Detroit Athletic Club where he plays squash.
