Bill Oakes

Bill Oakes is primarily engaged by the Firm to work with management teams in the area of manufacturing, specifically the development and application of models and tools to help deliver operational excellence. Mr. Oakes has extensive experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma and was a certified Lean Sigma Master Black Belt with Medtronic. Mr. Oakes spent over 40 years across a diverse range of precision manufacturing processes, including machining, optics, thin film coatings, lasers, and class III medical devices. Most recently, Mr. Oakes was Director of Operations with Endologix, a manufacturer of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair devices. Prior to Endologix, Mr. Oakes held various operations positions with Medtronic, including Senior Engineering Manager of Contract Manufacturing Supplier Development, Operations Manager of Endovascular Innovations and Engineering Manager of the Office of Continuous Improvement. Earlier in his career, Mr. Oakes held various management and engineering roles within several high-tech manufacturing industries, such as femtosecond pulsed lasers and precision thin film optical coatings. Mr. Oakes holds a BS in Applied Physics from California State University, Sonoma.

Brian D. Martin - CEO

Brian Martin is a Managing Partner at Vance Street responsible for originating and executing transactions, working with management teams to reach objectives, and ultimately realizing investments. Prior to joining Vance Street in 2010, Mr. Martin was in the Leveraged Buyouts Group at American Capital, where he primarily focused on investing in medical components and devices, specialty manufacturing, life sciences and industrial technology companies. Chris Cummins

Chris Cummins is primarily engaged by the Firm to work with portfolio company leadership teams to help them achieve strategic objectives and budgetary goals. Mr. Cummins brings over 27 years of manufacturing experience to Vance Street with specific expertise in Lean principles & Six Sigma deployment, driving global manufacturing strategies, supply chain optimization, and continuous performance improvement. Mr. Cummins currently serves as President and CEO of the Micronics Engineered Filtration Group, which consists of Micronics, Southern Filter Media, C.P. Environmental, United Process Controls and AeroPulse. Prior to joining Vance Street in 2020, Mr. Cummins held senior leadership roles including President, COO, SVP - Global Operations, and General Manager for a wide range of privately held and public companies including Danaher Corporation, Colson Group, Symmetry Medical, and Abaco Systems. Mr. Cummins holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, an Executive Management Certificate from Harvard Business School, and an MBA focused on Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University.

Chuck Hughes

Chuck Hughes is an Associate primarily responsible for due diligence, portfolio company monitoring and exit opportunity analysis. Prior to joining Vance Street in 2021, Mr. Hughes was in the Global Industrials Group within the Investment Banking division at Credit Suisse in Chicago, participating in the execution of a variety of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings. Mr. Hughes graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame, where he received his BBA in Finance with a Supplementary Major in Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics. Dana Rodriguez

Dana Rodriguez is primarily engaged by the Firm to work with portfolio company management teams in the areas of quality and regulatory assurance for medical end-device and component manufacturers. Ms. Rodriguez has worked closely with several Vance Street portfolio companies, including A&E and Adam Spence. Prior to working with Vance Street, Ms. Rodriguez was the Director of Quality and Regulatory Assurance at Avalon Labs, a designer and manufacturer of highly specialized catheters and medical tubing products for cardiology, pulmonology and related applications. In addition to her time at Avalon, Ms. Rodriguez spent 22 years at Edwards Lifesciences, where she was the Director of Global Regulatory Compliance. Ms. Rodriguez began her career at Shiley, Inc. where she managed clinical studies and regulatory submissions. During her career, Ms. Rodriguez has worked with numerous Notified Bodies and is well-versed in operational quality and compliance as well as regulatory submissions and registrations. Ms. Rodriguez holds a Master of Nursing from the University of California, Los Angeles and a BS in Nursing from Oral Roberts University.

Dr. Michael J. Hartnett

Michael J. Hartnett has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of RBC Bearings, Inc. since April 1992 and Chairman of the Board since June 1993. Prior to that, Mike spent eighteen years at The Torrington Company, one of the three largest bearings manufacturers in the U.S, where he held the position of Vice President and General Manager of the Aerospace Business Unit and was, prior to that, Vice President of the Research and Development Division. Mike holds an undergraduate degree from University of New Haven, a Masters degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Ph.D. in Applied Mechanics from the University of Connecticut. Mike has developed numerous patents, authored more than two dozen technical papers and is well known for his contributions to the field of tribology, the study of friction. Mike currently serves on the Engineering Advisory Board of Fairfield University, the University of New Haven and the University of California-Riverside. He is also a trustee of the Hartnett foundation, a nonprofit organization that sponsors university scholarships. Previously, he served for 16 years as a board member of Aftermarket Technology Corporation, was a member of the Board of Governors for the University of New Haven, where he also served as Chairman of the audit committee, and is the past Chairman of the Engineering Advisory Committee at the University of Connecticut.

Dr. Ronald D. Sugar

Ronald D. Sugar served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Northrop Grumman from 2003 until his retirement in 2010. During his tenure, Northrop Grumman grew to become the nation's second largest defense contractor with 120,000 employees and $35B annual revenue. Prior to joining Northrop Grumman in 2001, Ron held senior operating, technical, and financial positions at TRW Inc. and Litton Industries. Ron is currently a director of Apple Inc., Chevron Corporation, Amgen Inc., Air Lease Corporation and serves as senior advisor to the private investment firm Ares Management LLC, and to Bain & Co. He is a trustee of the University of Southern California, member of UCLA Anderson School of Management board of visitors, director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, director of Alliance for College-Ready Public Schools, and national trustee of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. He is past chairman of the Aerospace Industries Association, a member of the National Academy of Engineering, and a fellow of both the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the Royal Aeronautical Society. Grady Miller

Jessica Boltinghouse is Vance Street's Chief Financial Officer & Chief Compliance Officer and responsible for finance, accounting and administrative functions of Vance Street and its funds. Prior to joining Vance Street in 2017, Ms. Boltinghouse was a Senior Fund Controller at MUFG Capital Analytics, a private equity fund administrator, where she oversaw all aspects of client reporting processes including financial statement preparation and analysis, calculations of management fees, carried interest and investment and investor-level performance metrics, capital calls and distributions. Ms. Boltinghouse began her career at Dairy.com, a provider of market intelligence and software-as-a-service solutions to the dairy industry, in accounting operations and financial reporting. Ms. Boltinghouse graduated summa cum laude from Simpson College with a BA in Accounting and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.

John Focht

John Focht is primarily engaged by the Firm to work with portfolio company management teams in the areas of quality systems and regulatory assurance for businesses in the industrial, medical, aerospace and defense markets. Mr. Focht has worked closely with several Vance Street portfolio companies, including RST and Applied. Prior to working with Vance Street, Mr. Focht spent twelve years as a Senior Supplier Quality Manager for Medtronic, supporting six of their manufacturing sites in the US and Europe. Additionally, Mr. Focht supported key contract manufacturing, OEM and component/service partners of Medtronic in the US. Prior to Medtronic, Mr. Focht was the Director of Quality and Planning at Wrestling Manufacturing, where he oversaw two locations and led the transfer of operations new facilities as well as the development of a formal quality system. Earlier in his career, Mr. Focht was the Quality Manager at United Plastics Group where he supported sites in Minneapolis, El Paso, Freemont and Monterrey (MX). Prior to Medtronic, Mr. Focht was involved in a number of industries in his quality management roles. These included automotive, industrial and defense in addition to medical. He has integrated effective quality systems in a number of diverse manufacturing environments from plating/heat treating, welding, machining, injection molding, electronic and mechanical assembly. Mr. Focht holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities and a BS in mathematics. John holds a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.

Prior to joining Vance Street in 2015, Mr. LeRosen was the Chief Financial Officer of Avalon Laboratories, a private equity-owned medical device manufacturer of specialty medical tubing. Prior to Avalon Laboratories, Mr. LeRosen held two separate roles at American Capital, most recently focused on investing in medical components and devices, specialty manufacturing, life sciences and industrial technology companies. During Mr. LeRosen's initial role at American Capital, he was responsible for leading and managing over 40 pre-investment due diligence engagements, managing the "mark-to-market" valuation process for portfolio investments and monitoring portfolio investments. Mr. LeRosen previously served on the Board of Directors for Value Plastics, Avalon Laboratories, Pasternack Enterprises and ECA Medical Instruments. Jonathan Christie - VP

Paul Salazar

Prior to working with Vance Street in 2019, Mr. Salazar held several executive leadership roles across the aerospace, military, electronic systems, oil/gas and medical device industries focusing on highly engineered and formulated markets. Positions Mr. Salazar has held include CEO, President, Group Vice President and General Manager with diverse companies such as Precision Castparts, Crane Corporation, Invensys and Jonathan Engineered Solutions. Randy Ralph

Randy Ralph is a Strategic Advisor to Vance Street, primarily focusing on Investor Relations and Fundraising. He also serves as a Senior Advisor to the Private Funds Group at Houlihan Lokey. Randy joined Northwestern Mutual Capital (Milwaukee) in 2000 and served as Managing Director, Private Equity Funds from 2006 until his retirement in 2021. He was also a voting member of the Junior Capital & Equity Co-Invest Investment Committee. During his tenure, Randy primarily focused on North American mid-market, control buyout strategies, and underwrote various other funds including European, Asian, Distressed, and Energy. Prior to joining Northwestern Mutual, he had 13 years of investing and lending experience with ING Investment Management (Atlanta) and Mellon Bank (Pittsburgh and Chicago). Richard Roeder

Prior to joining Vance Street in 2012, Mr. Sandbo was in the Investment Banking Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, participating in the execution of a variety of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings across various industries. Before joining Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Mr. Sandbo worked in the leveraged finance and venture finance groups at ORIX Finance. Mr. Sandbo graduated from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, where he received his BBA in Finance.

Will Robinson

Will Robinson is a Senior Associate primarily responsible for due diligence, portfolio company monitoring and exit opportunity analysis. Prior to joining Vance Street in 2020, Will was in the Financial Sponsors group within the Investment Banking division at Barclays in New York, participating in the execution of a variety of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings. Will graduated from Yale University, where he received his BA in Economics with a focus in Energy Studies. Mr. Robinson is currently a key member of the following deal teams: Polara, Terra Insights, Jet Parts, Wytech Industries and Excel Scientific.

Yousaf Tahir - VP

Yousaf Tahir is a Vice President responsible for sourcing and executing transactions and working with portfolio management teams. Prior to joining Vance Street in 2022, Mr. Tahir was a Vice President at Victory Park Capital in Chicago, where he focused on sourcing, executing and managing private equity and credit investments across various industries. Before joining Victory Park Capital, Mr. Tahir worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Evercore in New York. Mr. Tahir graduated summa cum laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he received a B.S. in Economics with concentrations in Accounting and Finance. Mr. Tahir is currently a key member of the following deal teams: Terra Insights and Micronics.
