Angela Watts

Job Titles:

Angela has been a practicing Physical Therapist for 35 years. She earned her B.S. Degree from Daemen College and an advanced Masters Degree in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh. She has been board certified through the American Physical Therapy Association for the past 24 years. Angela has had experience teaching the Musculoskeletal Courses in the PT program at UCSF and San Francisco State combined PT program. She has also participated as volunteer and adjunct faculty at the University of Maryland PT program. Angela describes her approach to Physical Therapy as respectful and gentle with focus on the functional needs of her clients such as walking, running, reaching, desk/computer work, sports and household activities in relation to the symptoms they are experiencing and their musculoskeletal condition. She has advanced training in the treatment of the foot and ankle and performance of detailed gait analysis. She utilizes specialized techniques for Spinal conditions such as joint mobilization, Muscle Energy Techniques, myofascial and soft tissue mobilizations, rhythmic stabilization and craniosacral techniques. She incorporates Therapeutic Exercises designed for each patient in relation to their particular disorder and goals.

Cecilia Campos

Cecilia received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May 2019 from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore. She is originally from El Salvador but has been living in Columbia, Maryland for the past 24 years. She is fluent in English and Spanish and feels joyful when she can decrease language barriers among non-english speaking patients. Within her past clinical experiences she has treated individuals with orthopedic, vestibular, balance, and neuromuscular conditions. Her clinical experiences also included working in the acute care setting which allowed her to understand a patient's rehabilitation journey from the early stages. Her educational background also includes a Bachelors in Psychology from University of Maryland College Park. She believes in a holistic approach and is mindful of patient's mental and emotional factors as well as their physical ones. Cecilia's personal goals are to continue learning and staying up to date with the latest research to provide the highest quality of care to all her patients. Cecilia strives to provide the best care and create an individualized treatment for every patient she works with. She wants to assist her patients reach their goals and get back to the life they love to live. Outside of work, Cecilia enjoys practicing yoga, reading, drawing, and loves listening to music.

Francis Martin

Francis Martin grew up and still lives locally in Ellicott City, Maryland. He swam competitively throughout his childhood and competed 5 times at the YMCA Swimming Nationals. He graduated from nearby Mt Hebron High School, received a Bachelors and Masters in Mechanical Engineering from University of Maryland, completed graduate engineering teaching and research assistantships at University of Maryland, received a Masters in Physical Therapy from University of Maryland, and received a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of Montana. He has worked as a PT and the CCCE at McNerney & Associates, P.A. since 1999. He participates recreationally in swimming, weight lifting, jogging and triathlons. He enjoys treating patients of all ages and conditions with various manual therapy and rehabilitation techniques, but has a special interest in treating competitive swimmers and other athletes.

Jessica Eichorn

Jessica is a 2013 graduate from University of Maryland, Baltimore. Prior to receiving her Doctorate of Physical Therapy, she attended Towson University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance Performance. She has been practicing in an outpatient setting prior to joining McNerney & Associates, P.A., and her latest coursework has been through the Institute of Physical Art. Jessica is originally from central New Jersey and in her spare time she enjoys traveling with her husband, hiking, dancing and yoga.

Karen Capelle

Karen Capelle received her Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College in 2002. She later went on to receive her Doctorate Degree from the University of Scranton. Over the years she has worked in a variety of clinical settings and treated patients with both orthopedic and neurological conditions. Karen has taken numerous courses in manual therapy as well as stroke and brain injury rehabilitation. She has participated in hospital and community based programs involving falls and fall prevention and acted as an instructor to several physical therapy students. She is a certified kinesiotape practitioner. Karen was born and raised in central New Jersey. She is a former gymnast and long distance runner. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors and travelling.

Michael McNerney

Michael earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland in 1981 and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Montana. Before going into private practice he served as the director of the physical therapy department of a regional hospital in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Michael's experience as a hospital based staff physical therapist and later as the department director along with time spent in a sports medicine center allowed him to treat a very diverse patient population. He has a strong interest in the evaluation and treatment of the knee and shoulder and has treated professional, collegiate and high school athletes during his time as a physical therapist professional. His most recent coursework has been through the Osteopathic School of Medicine at Michigan State University. His study has focused on manual medicine including muscle energy techniques and craniosacral. In May, 2010 he received his certification in Vestibular Rehabilitation through the APTA and Emory University. Balance disorders/fall risk prevention and vertigo are a few of the conditions he treats frequently. He is certified as a strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is a principal in McNerney & Associates, P.A., Physical Therapists. Outside of the practice Michael has interests in many forms of exercise and self defense training.

Michelle Jeram

Michelle has been a Physical Therapist for over 20 years. She earned her B.S. Degree in Psychology from University of Maryland and an advanced Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Emory University. Michelle has worked at various physical therapy clinics in Frederick, Washington, D.C. and New York City. While in NYC, she worked on the set of "Wicked" treating Broadway performers. She has taken extensive course work in manual therapy and soft tissue mobilization from the Institute of Physical Art, Functional Manual Medicine/Muscle Energy Techniques, Anatomy Trains and most recently completed her certification in Myofascial Trigger Point Dry Needling. She enjoys hands on treatment providing compassion and sensitivity through a development of joint trust and open communication. She currently lives in Frederick, MD with her husband and fourteen year old twins. She loves to run and play tennis however is way more cautious after breaking her ankle on the trampoline in her backyard.

Sarah Floyd

Sarah received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2008. She is energetic about her career and has special interests in dynamic stretching, exercise prescription, core stabilization, and manual therapy techniques. She has taken classes through the Osteopathic School of Medicine at Michigan State University and the Barral Institute to further her manual skills. She enjoys treating patients with sacroiliac dysfunctions, back pain, hip pain, knee pain, plantar fasciitis/foot pain, shoulder pain, neck pain and orthopedic and sports injuries of all types. She works with many patients with autonomic dysfunction and POTS. Sarah is also interested in women's health and has completed coursework through Herman and Wallace to treat the pelvic floor muscles. Sarah values and enjoys health, nutrition, and exercise including swimming, triathlons, running, strength training, and yoga.
