Aditya Prakash Kanth is an Art Conservator working in the field for the past seventeen years. He is currently an Assistant Professor and Programme Chair in the Centre for Heritage Management at Ahmedabad University. His area of research is the scientific characterization of art and archaeological objects and the development of conservation methodologies. He teaches courses on Heritage Documentation, Conservation and Preservation Science, Environment and Climate Change, etc. at the University. He has served National Museum, New Delhi as senior conservator and has also served various other organizations as senior conservation professional. He has also worked on various conservation and condition assessment projects across India. He has obtained his Master's and PhD degree in Art Conservation from National Museum Institute, New Delhi. Alok Shukla is an Assistant Professor in the Mathematical and Physical Sciences division of the School of Arts and Sciences at Ahmedabad University. He received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi, and a MA and PhD in Mathematics from the University of Oklahoma, USA. He was selected for several scholarship awards by the Department of Mathematics at Oklahoma during his PhD, including the John Clark Brixey Graduate Scholarship award in 2015, and the Richard V. Andree Memorial Scholarship awards for academic excellence in 2016 and 2017. After receiving his PhD in 2018, Professor Shukla joined the Department of Mathematics at the University of Manitoba, Canada, as a Postdoctoral Fellow.
Prior to pursuing his doctoral studies in Mathematics, Professor Shukla worked for HAL (Hindustan Aeronautical Limited) for several years, first on the Avionics system of MiG-27 fighter aircraft, and later in the final assembly section of ALH (Advanced Light Helicopter), Dhruv. He learned the basics of Aeronautical Engineering in a special one-semester programme at IIT, Madras in 2004. He has also worked as a software engineer for IBM and TCS, for about a year in each organisation. In addition to research in Mathematics, he enjoys teaching the subject to students. Professor Shukla has organised several maths-popularisation and community outreach events to spread the ‘Joy of Mathematics' among young students.
Amitkumar Dubey is a doctoral student at Ahmedabad University. His research interests include energy, net zero emission systems, carbon capture and storage and energy systems modelling among others. A graduate of CEPT University, and has pursued a Master of Technology in Environment Engineering, Amit had over 6 years of experience as an independent consultant working in the Construction Project Management field, before switching to academia and research. He taught undergraduate courses for two years at the Institute of Architecture, Patan, and PP Savani University, Kosamba before joining the Opportunities for Climate Mitigation and Sustainable Development (OPTIMISM) project, and eventually a full-time doctoral program at Ahmedabad University.
Anjali Ramakrishnan was a past visiting researcher (June to August 2019) at the Global Centre on Environment and Energy, Ahmedabad University and a PhD candidate at the Mercator Research Institute for Global Commons and Climate Change, Berlin. Her research focuses on assessing demand-side solutions for low-carbon transition in India. Previously, she has worked with policy think tanks including The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW) in New Delhi. She completed her Masters in Economics from TERI University, New Delhi, and Bachelors in Economics from Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University. She is a recipient of the DAAD Research Scholarship for her PhD studies in Germany.

Professor Balaji Prakash studied Physics at the University of Hyderabad and made a transition to Biology at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, where he obtained his PhD. After a successful postdoctoral stint at the Max-Planck Institute for Molecular Physiology in Germany, he joined the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur as one of the founding faculty of the department of Biological Sciences in 2002. In 2015, he relocated to CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore (CFTRI), to head the newly created interdisciplinary department - the Department of Molecular Nutrition. Balaji Srinivasan is Senior Advisor to the Vice Chancellor of Ahmedabad University. Darshini Mahadevia is a well-known scholar whose research focuses on equity concerns within urban policies relating to climate change adaptation, mitigation, and human and general development. She received her doctoral degree in Urban and Regional Development from Jawaharlal Nehru University. Prior to joining Ahmedabad University, she coordinated the Centre for Urban Equity and was the Dean of the Faculty of Planning at CEPT University, Ahmedabad. In particular, Professor Mahadevia's research has focused on cities and the policies and processes of their development from an equity perspective. She argues for a bi-focal view to assess the impact of the modernist, deterministic, and top-down approach adopted in Urban Planning on the economically, socially, and politically weak segments of society and the city's ecological resources. She is currently investigating urban data systems in the context of urban development dynamics, their sustainability, and equity. She also is a member of the High-Level Committee on Status of Women, India. Professor Mahadevia has also been an Editorial Board Member of the International Development Planning Review - Journal of the University of Liverpool, Environment, and Urbanization - Asia, since 2019, and Singapore Journal of Tropical Geography since 2017. She has been an Advisory Board Member for Safetypin and WRI Ross Centre Prize for Cities since 2020. Professor Mahadevia has over 120 publications as books, book chapters, and journal articles. At Ahmedabad University this year, she is teaching a course on urban finance, and is part of two interdisciplinary courses -- one on the city of Ahmedabad and the other on neighbourhoods.

Professor Deepak Kunzru recently retired as Professor of Chemical Engineering from IIT Kanpur where he was a faculty since 1974. He was earlier the Chevron Chair Professor at IIT Kanpur. He received his BTech from IIT Kanpur in 1968 and PhD from the University of Pittsburgh,U.S.A. in 1972. He was a Visiting Professor in the Dept.of Chemical Engineering, MIT, U.S.A during Sept-Dec.2009.Professor Kunzru's main research interests are in the area of microstructured reactors, chemical reaction engineering, pyrolysis of hydrocarbons and petroleum processing. He has published more than 100 papers in reputed international journals and has edited one book. His current research focuses on the use of monolithic reactors for gas-liquid reactions and steam reforming of methane, production of hydrogen from ethanol in microchannel reactors and the development of catalysts for hydrodesulfurization.

Professor Devanath Tirupati is currently Executive Provost at Ahmedabad University. He was Senior Dean Academic and Dean, Amrut Mody School of Management. He has over three decades of experience in academia spanning a range of activities in teaching, research and academic administration at some of the best national and international institutions. Dr Naushad Forbes is an Indian Engineer and businessman. He is Co-chairman of Forbes Marshall, India's leading steam engineering and control instrumentation company, and was the President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (Cll) 2016-17. He is an active votary of energy conservation in industry, and has founded and started the annual Cll Energy Efficiency Summit and Awards for Excellence in Energy Management. He was visiting faculty at Stanford University from 1987 to 2004. He has at various times chaired the National Committees on Higher Education, Innovation, Technology and International Business. He is currently Chairman of the Governing Council of the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. He supported the establishment of the Forbes-Marshall Energy Efficiency Centre at IIT-Bombay in 2016.
Dr. Akhand Rai received his PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Roorkee. He has a working experience of more than 5 years in various reputed academic and industrial institutions across the country as well as outside. His areas of interest include rotating machinery dynamics, vibration analysis, data-driven condition monitoring, diagnosis and prognosis of rolling element bearings and gears, application of signal processing and artificial intelligence methods for reducing maintenance costs and preventing failures, pipeline fault detection and biomdedical fields such as mental stress diagnosis. He has published 16 research papers in various SCI indexed international journals and 5 papers in national-international conferences with total citations of 864, h-index and i-10 index of 10. Some of his contributions are in well-recognized journals such as Mechanical Systems and Signal processing, Measurement, Tribology International, Applied Soft Computing and IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement. He is also a reviewer of various international journals such as IEEE transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems, Mechanism and Machine Theory, IEEE Access, and Measurement. During his research career, he has developed various signal processing techniques to process the sensor signals such as vibration and acoustic emission signals acquired from rotating machines and pipelines to detect faults. Besides, he has successfully developed various fault-diagnosis methods based on AI techniques and machine learning algorithms. Recently, he has been awarded by DRDO, Government of India for demonstrating technology on early fault detection and remaining useful life prediction in aeroengine bearings. He has also been featured in the world top 2% scientist list for the year 2021 prepared by Stanford University for his research contribution in the condition monitoring field. He has established successful research collaborations with foreign scientists and insitutions. His recent collaboration is with Ulsan Industrial Artificial intelligence Laboratory, University of Ulsan, South Korea for developing tehcnology for pipeline mangement and predictive maintennace.
He began his career with General Electric, Aviation, Bangalore. There, he worked on high and low cycle fatigue analyses of jet engine externals and fuel-supply systems. Subsequently, he joined Jaypee University of Engineering and Technology, Guna and worked there as an Assistant Professor for 2.5 years. Afterwards, he finished his PhD from IIT Roorkee and worked with Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology as a Visiting Assistant Professor for approximately 1 year. He was employed as a Postdoctoral Professional Researcher at University of Ulsan, South Korea, prior to joining Ahmedabad University. There, he developed technology for fault detection in fluid filled mechanical components such as pipelines and boiler tubes.

Professor Gaurav Goswami is an Assistant Professor at the Division of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, School of Arts and Sciences, Ahmedabad University.
Professor Goswami is primarily a theoretical cosmologist i.e. the primary focus of his research has been the interface of cosmology (which deals with the scientific study of the origin and evolution of the entire Universe) and fundamental physics (which deals with the study of the most basic ingredients, the most elementary building blocks, which make up the Universe and the laws which act on them).

Kaumudi Joshipura joined Ahmedabad University as the Dean of the School of Public Health and the Susmita and Subroto Bagchi Professor of Public Health in 2023. Professor Joshipura is also an Adjunct Professor of Epidemiology at Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health (HSPH). She serves on the American Public Health Association advisory committee on Climate and Health Equity.
Professor Joshipura focuses on identifying and promoting preventive measures that are free, low-cost, or cost-saving, and that can be adopted widely and globally. She has a Doctorate in Epidemiology from Harvard University. Her research has focused on evaluating lifestyle factors, microbial and inflammatory markers, and other modifiable risk factors for cardiometabolic and other non-communicable diseases.

Professor Kaushal has extensive experience of more than 30 years in the field of intangible cultural heritage. She is former Professor and Head, Janapada Sampada Division at Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, New Delhi (IGNCA). She is a folklorist by training and obtained her PhD from Moscow State University, Moscow, in Russian and Indian Folklore. Before joining Ahmedabad University, she was the Mission Director for the National Mission on Cultural Mapping, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, housed at the IGNCA.
Molly Kaushal is former Professor and Head, Janapada Sampada Division at Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, New Delhi (IGNCA). Before joining Ahmedabad University, she was the Mission Director for the National Mission on Cultural Mapping, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, housed at the IGNCA.
Professor Kaushal has a rich and varied experience in the field of research, documentation, and safeguarding the intangible cultural heritage of diverse communities of India. During her career span of more than 30 years, she initiated several research initiatives, conceptualised, and supervised many field studies, surveys, and research projects at the IGNCA and was the Principal Investigator and Project Head, Living Traditions of the Ramayana and Mahabharata, an area where she has made significant contribution, building up a massive audio-visual archive, bringing out translations and publications, and creating a platform for a dialogue between the artists and scholars.
She has done extensive research among the Gaddi, a sheep herding community of Himachal Pradesh, exploring concepts of space and time and engaging with areas ranging from domestic to pastoral spaces, ritual and performance, oral epics, and daily lifestyle.
As a convenor of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) at the IGNCA, she engaged with several safeguarding projects in collaboration with UNESCO and was responsible for the preparation of nomination dossiers on behalf of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, for inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List for the 2nd and 3rd cycles. As part of this exercise, she rediscovered and revitalised the almost extinct tradition of Ramman, a ritual theatre of Garhwal Himalayas based on the Ramayana, establishing a community-run cultural resource centre in collaboration with community representatives and state stakeholders. She also initiated the compilation of the first web-based national inventory for ICH for the IGNCA. (ignca.nic.in).
She is the curator of many research based thematic exhibitions and cultural festivals. She has also directed and scripted several ethnographic films.

Mona Mehta is Associate Professor and Associate Dean, Arts at the School of Arts and Sciences. She is a political scientist with research interests in urban transformations, democracy, and middle-class politics in the context of Gujarat and India at large. She is working on a book manuscript examining the cultural politics of urban transformations in post-liberalisation India. Her book will explore what we can learn about India's urbanisation by examining the trajectories of pastoralists or maldharis, who have increasingly settled into urban spaces, and their strategies to navigate the precarious urban informal economy. Her previous work explored the vulnerability and complicity of democratic and civic spaces in the production of exclusionary politics. She is also interested in the valuable insights that can be gained about complex social phenomena through the use of qualitative, especially interpretive and ethnographic research methods, in the social sciences.
Professor Mehta has previously taught in the Department of Politics and International Relations at Scripps College in Claremont, USA (2010-2012) and the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar (2012-2020).

Neel Kamal Chapagain joined Centre for Heritage Management, Ahmedabad University in 2013 to develop the Master in Heritage Management programme, which eventually was launched in 2015. Along with his continuous role as a key faculty in the programme, he has been leading the Centre as its Director since 2017. Prior to joining Ahmedabad University, he taught at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (USA) as full-time teaching faculty and at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee as a Doctoral Teaching Assistant. His professional journey spans Nepal, Bhutan, India, and the United States. He has co-edited a book titled Asian Heritage Management: Contexts, Concerns and Prospects (Routledge, 2013). He also coordinates a publication series from Nepal titled Reflections on the Built Environment and Associated Practices, of which the first volume was published in 2013, the second volume in 2016, and the third volume in 2019. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Heritage Management - second academic milestone of the Centre for Heritage Management following the launch of the Master's programme, and has also been the conference chair for the series of International Conference on Heritage Management Education & Practice at Ahmedabad University. He is UNESCO accredited global facilitator for the 2003 convention on Intangible Cultural Heritage. He currently leads the Secretariat for the Asia Pacific Higher Education Network for Intangible Cultural Heritage (APHEN-ICH), in which he served as a bureau member since its establishment in 2018 until 2022. He is also an executive committee member in the Asian Academy for Heritage Management (AAHM). He served in the executive board of the Association for Critical Heritage Studies (ACHS) for 2020-2022 term.

Professor Pankaj Chandra is the Vice Chancellor of Ahmedabad University. He was the Director of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (2007-2013) and Professor of Operations and Technology Management at IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore. Professor Raghavan Rangarajan is Dean and Professor at the School of Arts and Sciences at Ahmedabad University.

Professor Sankarshan Basu is the Dean, Amrut Mody School of Management, Ahmedabad University. Professor Kale has over thirty years of experience in teaching and research in mechanical engineering with a specialisation in thermo-fluids. After obtaining a BTech degree from IIT Delhi in 1977, he earned MS and PhD degrees from Stanford University in 1981 and 1984, respectively, all in Mechanical Engineering.
He began his career with Tata Consulting Engineers, Bangalore, where he served for three years. Post-PhD, he was a Research Assistant Professor with the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department of West Virginia University, Morgantown, the USA, for four years. As a faculty member at IIT Delhi since 1989, he has held several administrative positions, including Dean of Undergraduate Studies, and Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering. He has mentored IIT Mandi and IIT Ropar on various aspects.
He has taught thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, design, innovation and manufacturing, engineering drawing, and power generation technologies at the undergraduate level. He has taught experimental methods, fire dynamics and multi-phase flows at the post-graduate level. He has developed teaching laboratories that emphasise hands-on work, experimentation and design.
He has several publications on water spray-based evaporative cooling, pool fire dynamics and their suppression, burning of cloth panels, airflow through a non-air-conditioned bus with open windows, and flows through micro-channels. His current research interests are fluid mechanics, fire dynamics, combustion, vehicular emissions, and energy.
As the Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) at Ahmedabad University, Professor Kale will provide leadership in building the School and developing curricula and teaching-learning methods that emphasise "learning by doing". Professor Vivek Tanavde joined Ahmedabad University in 2017. Prior to this, for over 10 years, he was a Principal Investigator at the Bioinformatics Institute, Singapore. He has also headed the Hematopoietic Stem Cell Lab at Reliance Life Sciences, Mumbai, where his work focused on developing mesenchymal stromal cell-based therapies for cardiac and neuronal disorders. From 1999 to 2002, he was a postdoctoral fellow with Dr Curt Civin at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Centre, Johns Hopkins University, working on the expansion of hematopoietic stem cells from umbilical cord blood. Professor Tanavde obtained his PhD in 1999 from the Cancer Research Institute, Mumbai, in Applied Biology.
