Job Titles:

Gustavo Marks was born and raised in Buenos Aires Argentina, where he grew up knowing since his early school years that what he wanted most in life was to someday be a physician. Therefore, even though other important interests crossed his path, such as sports and music, he was never side-tracked from the most important goal in his life. In 1986 he graduated magna cum laude from the National University of Buenos Aires (UBA) - the finest School of Medicine in Argentina, and in 1989 he completed his General Surgery Residency Program certified by the Ministry of Health. At the age of 27 he was a General Surgeon at Rivadavia National Hospital and Guemes Hospital, two of the most prestigious institutions in Buenos Aires. In spite of a successful career in Argentina, in 1993 Dr. Marks decided to migrate to the U.S. He spent approximately 4 years in Pennsylvania between the Easton Hospital and the Sacred Heart Hospital (Allentown,) on a Transitional Program and later on his Family Practice Residency Program, where he became a Chief Resident in 1996. But his future was in California, where he arrived in 1997 and after six months as a Family Physician at the North Torrance Medical Center, he went on to the West Family Medical Center in Culver City, offering his professional cares as Family Physician for more than 5 years.
