Colin is the Area Sales Manager for the Knightdale and Triangle Quarries, in this role he oversees sales for these two quarries. Colin is also the Business Development Manager. He managed the development and growth of Wake Stone's real estate interests, including the Hinton Oaks Industrial Park and other commercial property investments.
Prior to joining Wake Stone in 2010, Colin was a commercial real estate broker with York Properties. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Management and Society. In 2017, he received a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Colin is a member at Holy Trinity Anglican Church. He helps lead a grass-roots annual fundraiser for struggling families in the community. Colin and his wife, Emily, have two children and one, spoiled English Lab.

Jared is Vice President of Engineering for Wake Stone Corporation. In this role, he leads engineering and construction projects, development planning and design, as well as administering the company-wide Information Technology division. Jared continues to research and implement new ways for engineering and technological advances to improve the construction and agricultural aggregates business.
Jared graduated from North Carolina State University in with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and has worked at Wake Stone since 1998. He then pursued and received his North Carolina Professional Engineering license in 2002.
Outside work, Jared is a longtime member of Church of the Apostles. Jared and his wife serve as North Raleigh committee members for Young Life, a middle and high school Christian organization. Jared also serves on his neighborhood association board in an effort to improve his neighborhood and community. He and his wife, Megan, have three daughters and reside in North Raleigh.

Johnny is a member of the Board of Directors, having retired from active service after a fifty-year career at Wake Stone Corporation. The eldest son of founder John Bratton, Johnny was hired as the first employee when his father started the company in 1970. Johnny became Chief Executive Officer of Wake Stone in 1984, a position he held for over 20 years. Under his leadership the company grew from two to five quarries and from 50 to 150 employees. In 2009, he succeeded his father as Chairman of the Board and continued to oversee Wake Stone's corporate direction and policies, passing the reins to his brother Ted in 2018.

Holt is Vice President of Construction for Wake Stone Corporation. In this role, he oversees all aspects of construction across the company's five quarries.
Holt has been a member of the Wake Stone family since graduating from North Carolina State University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. At NC State, Holt played and lettered four years on the varsity lacrosse team.
He was first introduced to the stone industry when he was roommates with Ted Bratton his sophomore year of college. Holt began working part-time at the quarries during college and found that he really enjoyed all aspects of the mining industry. Mr. Bratton asked him to take additional classes at NC State that would be useful in the aggregates business. Upon graduation he was asked to join the company full time.
Outside of work, Holt enjoys playing golf, tennis and hunting. He and his wife live in Raleigh and have two daughters.

Paul is the Area Production Manager for the Moncure, Nash County and North Myrtle Beach Quarries. In this role, he advises and assists the Superintendents of these three quarries with strategic planning and daily operations. Paul is a Raleigh native and attended Broughton High School and N.C. State University. He began his career with Wake Stone in 1986 as a Superintendent in Training at Triangle Quarry during Ted Bratton's tenure as Superintendent. Paul took over the role of Triangle Quarry Superintendent in 1989, and although he was promoted to Area Production Manager in 2007, He continued his responsibilities as Superintendent until 2018.
Paul and his wife lived on a farm in Granville County while raising three children. They raised horses, pigs, sheep, and chickens and operated a goat dairy for 10 years. They now reside in Durham and enjoy a more urban lifestyle. Outside of work Paul enjoys playing the guitar and the piano. He spends as much time as possible at the beach and the mountains where he bicycles, hikes, and fishes.

Sam is Chief Executive Officer and President of Wake Stone. In his role, Sam oversees 165 employees and operations at four quarries in North Carolina and one in South Carolina. Sam has experience in all aspects of the business, from his first job as a pit foreman, to managing sales and real estate activities, including the opening of the North Myrtle Beach Quarry.
Seth A. Miedema, PE is the Director of Construction Engineering for Wake Stone Corporation. He graduated from North Carolina State University in 1997 with a Civil Engineering degree and has been with Wake Stone for 23 years. In 2003 he obtained his NC Professional Engineers License. He currently leads all construction projects for the company, big and small. He continues to design and supervise our never-ending list of construction projects and upgrades. Seth's "Can Do" attitude and strong teamwork approach continues to make an impact at all our locations. He and his wife Lynn have a son, Luke (18), and a daughter, Langdon (15).
Ted is Chairman of the Board of Wake Stone Corporation, a family owned and operated mining business that was started by his father in 1970. Under his management, the company has successfully expanded to four operations in North Carolina and one in South Carolina, all of which were new quarry developments rather than acquisitions. Through this growth, Ted has experience in all aspects of mining including prospecting, construction, environmental issues, permitting, mine expansion and compliance.
Ted is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Immediately after college, he began to work full time for Wake Stone. Ted has a background in operations, beginning with his first job as a Pit Foreman at the company's second location.
A Raleigh native, Ted remains active in the community. He has served on various local and industry boards, including the Saint Mary's Board of Trustees, the Umstead State Park Advisory Committee, the Boys and Girls Clubs, Christ Church Vestry, the North Carolina Mining Commission and the North Carolina Aggregates Association.
Tom was recently appointed as Executive Vice President after serving as Vice President of Finance & Administration for 34 years.
Trent is Vice President of Sales for Wake Stone Corporation. He joined Wake Stone in 2007 as a Senior Sales Representative for eastern North Carolina and worked his way up through several sales roles in the company before assuming his current leadership position.
Prior to Wake Stone, Trent worked in the private engineering field as a structural design engineer. He then began his career in the aggregates industry with Martin Marietta. Trent is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.
Outside work, Trent serves as Past President of the Executive Committee of the North Carolina Aggregates Association. He is actively involved at Hope Community Church in Raleigh, where he is a volunteer for special events, including Tim Tebow's Night to Shine, men's fellowship and holds a leadership role in his small group. Trent is an avid Wolf Pack fan and enjoys golf, kayaking and spending time with his family. Trent has been married to his wife, Kim, for 21 years and they have two children.
