Bill Munro

Job Titles:

Bill joined the Partnership in April 2022 and jointly heads the Commercial and Property teams. His expertise lies with commercial contract negotiations, business transactional matters, entity structuring, and general property and trust law. Bill has worked extensively in business development across various fashion, arts, and media industries, and has a team performance and business efficiency focus. When not practicing law, he spend spends his time practising fishing in the Waitaki region, restoring/riding vintage motorcycles, and being a proud dad.

Corinna Flawn

Corinna is a Registered Legal Executive and primarily focused on estate administrations and property conveyancing. She completed her Legal Executive Diploma and joined Webb Farry in 2015, and has over 16 years of experience in a variety of legal areas including property, subdivisions, commercial, trust and estate planning matters. Corinna enjoys supporting clients and their families though the estate administration process and also assists the estates team with improving their procedures and ensuring effective systems are in place. Outside of work, Corinna enjoys running and netball.

David Ehlers

Job Titles:

David is one of Dunedin's most experienced commercial lawyers. A Partner since 1984, he jointly heads our Corporate/Commercial and Property teams. David advises on all matters commercial, including taxation, joint ventures, commercial property transactions, business acquisitions and complex property developments. He is also the "go to" man for advice on company constitutions, directors' and shareholders' rights and powers, share issues and sales, company amalgamations and other corporate restructurings. David is a member of the New Zealand Law Society Property Transactions Committee. Away from work, he enjoys spending time with his family and is a keen golfer and fisherman.

Ella Anderson-Cahill

Ella is a solicitor in our Litigation and Dispute Resolution team working alongside Kim and Maddy. She particularly enjoys building relationships with clients as she helps them with their legal issues. Ella joined us in her final year of study at the University of Otago. She graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts and was admitted to the bar in mid-2023. Outside of the office, Ella enjoys keeping active, spending time with her friends and family, and coffees at the beach.

Frank Coop Law

Frank is the newest member of our commercial and property team and at present is primarily assisting with residential conveyancing and estate planning including Enduring Powers of Attorney and Wills. He looks forward to being admitted to the bar and expanding his legal knowledge, skills and expertise into other areas of commercial and property law. Frank grew up in Wellington before moving to Dunedin in 2019. He completed a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in politics) at the University of Otago in 2023. Frank first joined Webb Farry in his final year of University and is now full time since finishing his studies. Outside of work Frank plays rugby and rugby sevens for University and is a keen snowboarder. He also enjoys hiking, going to the gym and exploring all the Otago region has to offer.

Jade Cottle

Jade is a Registered Legal Executive in our Commercial/Property team. She enjoys working under the supervision of Associate Lauren Brent, and their team works cohesively together to provide the best service to fit our clients' needs. Jade supports our residential conveyancing clients in securing their perfect property and also works with Lauren to assist clients with their estate planning needs. Jade qualified as a Registered Legal Executive in 2023, having studied for her New Zealand Legal Executive Diploma while working as a Legal Secretary across our Commercial and Litigation teams. She has been with Webb Farry since 2019, having also previously held the roles of Administration Assistant and Receptionist. These prior roles have allowed Jade the opportunity to build great rapport with our clients as well as a wide knowledge of our firm's policies and procedures across different areas. Outside of work, Jade enjoys spending her mornings at the gym and meeting with family and friends to sample the wide variety of food establishments Dunedin has to offer.

Kimberly Jarvis

Kimberly joined Webb Farry as an Associate in our Litigation and Dispute Resolution team in 2019 before joining the partnership in 2020. Since admission to the bar in 2008, she has specialised in commercial litigation, employment law and complex relationship property and international family law disputes. Kimberly has appeared in a wide range of Courts and Tribunals around the country up to and including Supreme Court level. Kimberly is passionate about assisting clients to navigate the law to find practical and cost-effective solutions to stressful situations, including by negotiation, mediation or determination by the Court. Kimberly's considerable commercial litigation experience assists with both the employment and family law contexts where complex commercial issues arise. In the employment context, Kimberly helps both employers and employees deal with disciplinary matters, redundancies or restructuring processes and personal grievances. Kimberly has extensive experience as a separation or "divorce" lawyer, assisting parties to divide their relationship and trust-owned property and organise parenting arrangements for their children, particularly in disputes with an international aspect. She also advises on spousal/partner maintenance issues, family violence issues (protection orders) and claims against estates. Kimberly is a volunteer Trustee of the Trade Aid Dunedin Trust and Chair of the Board of Pioneers Dunedin Community Childcare Association. Outside of work, most of Kimberly's time is spent with her husband and two young children. She is also an enthusiastic (but not particularly skilled) runner, avid vegetable gardener and member of a monthly book club.

Lauren Brent

Lauren is an Associate in our Corporate/Commercial and Property teams. She has a wealth of knowledge on complex company law matters, commercial and residential property law, and also estate planning and elder law. She also has specialist knowledge on Trust Law and enjoys supporting and advising clients in these areas. Lauren joined Webb Farry in 2021 after working at a leading boutique law firm in Christchurch and Wellington. She is the Co-Convenor of the Otago Women's Law Society, and enjoys exploring the Southern region's great outdoors.

Lauren Sheed

Lauren is our HR & Operations Administrator. She assists the management team with operational duties, policy work, event management, and support staff HR needs. Lauren joined us after completing a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Otago in 2021. Outside of work, she is a reformer pilates teacher and enjoys spending time out at the beach.

Leanne Pryde

Leanne is an Associate in our Commercial / Property team and works primarily from our Mosgiel office. A true southern girl, Leanne was born in Invercargill and moved to Dunedin in 1984. She began her career in law in 1991 and gained her degree from the University of Otago in 2016. She has a particular passion for Elder Law, Wills, Estates, Trusts, Enduring Powers of Attorney and Residential Conveyancing and is excited to assist our Taieri based clients with all of their requirements.

Lyane Jones

Lyane joined Webb Farry following the completion her Bachelor of Laws in 2021 (she also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) which she completed in 2001) and was admitted to the bar in June 2022. Lyane works primarily from our Mosgiel office focusing on Property, Small Business requirements, Trusts and Estate Planning, Elder Law and Estate Administration. She enjoys building relationships with people of all ages from all walks of life in and outside of work. Lyane and her family have a business and a lifestyle block in Waikouaiti where she is involved in the community and is a keen golfer, tramper, sports spectator and reader.

Madison (Maddy) McKenzie

Maddy joined Webb Farry after graduating from Otago University with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (politics major, double minor in sociology and history) and was admitted to the bar in mid 2022. Maddy is working under the supervision of partner Kimberly Jarvis in our Litigation and Dispute resolution team, focusing on family, relationship property, civil and employment matters. Outside of work Maddy enjoys spending time with friends and family, shopping and trying out new cafes and restaurants.

Megan Bartlett

Megan jointly heads the Corporate/Commercial and Property teams. She has particular expertise with complex business transactions and structuring, as well as extensive experience dealing with significant commercial and residential property developments. Megan also leads the firm's Trust practice and advises on complicated relationship property, estate planning and administration matters. Megan has been with Webb Farry since 1999 and a partner since 2010. Megan is on the Board of the Dunedin Symphony Orchestra, the Honorary Solicitor for the National Council of Women Dunedin Branch and on the organising commitee for the annual Cancer Society Ball. She is an external moderator for the Institute of Professional Legal Studies and a member of the Institute of Directors.

Shona Squires

Shona is a Solicitor in our Commercial/Property team. Prior to graduating with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Otago in May 2021, Shona worked as a Registered Legal Executive and Legal Administrator for a number of years, both in New Zealand and England. Shona was admitted to the bar as a Barrister and Solicitor in September 2021 and joined the Webb Farry team in 2022. She advises on a wide range of commercial, property and personal client matters (including Trusts, Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney). Shona brings a wealth of legal, business and life experience to her role. She has a keen interest in the not-for-profit and disability sector, having previously acted in a governance position for CCS Disability Action Otago. Shona is the Deputy Convenor of the Otago Women's Law Society. A mother of two busy teenagers, Shona enjoys yoga and making the most of Dunedin's great walking tracks and beaches.

Simon Eton

Simon works in our Commercial/Property team and has experience advising clients on range of areas including residential and commercial conveyancing, commercial leasing, subdivisions, asset and estate planning including Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney and Trust Formation. Simon enjoys making legal jargon easy to understand for clients, particularly when it is a new area for them such as for first home buyers. Simon joined Webb Farry in December 2019 following graduating from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (History) in May of the same year. Simon was admitted to the bar as a Barrister and Solicitor in June 2020. Simon enjoys keeping active by playing social sports with friends and has a keen interest in rugby, cricket, football and basketball. Outside of sports Simon is a member of a book club and is also a Commissioned Officer in New Zealand Cadet Forces and volunteers his time with Dunedin Navy Cadets.

Suzanne Corson

Suzanne oversees all of the firm's estate administration work. She completed her Legal Executive Certificate in 1992 and has been with Webb Farry for more than 35 years. Suzanne is highly experienced in the areas of residential property transactions, family trusts, estate administration, wills and enduring powers of attorney. Outside of work, she enjoys patchworking and quilting.

Tania Graham

Tania is the firm's Systems and Accounts Manager, responsible for processing and reporting services, technical assistance and support across all financial and IT aspects of the firm's operation. Tania works closely with the other members of our management team and brings broad experience to her role having worked for Webb Farry for over 30 years. Outside of work, Tania is the Zone 5 Rep for Musical Theatre New Zealand and also enjoys supporting her family's thoroughbred horse racing interest.

Tom Clout

Job Titles:

Tom is an experienced corporate and property solicitor, and has particular interests in commercial and residential conveyancing (particularly first home buyers), building contracts, start-up ventures, small- to medium-sized business sales and purchases, franchise agreements, commercial leasing, and succession planning for Directors and Shareholders. He has specialist knowledge on Brightline Tax, GST, Overseas Investment Regulations, Residential Care Subsidies, and the Trust Act 2019. Tom grew up in Tauranga before moving to Dunedin in 2018. He graduated from the University of Waikato in 2016 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Management Studies (majoring in Economics) and was admitted to the bar in 2017. He is also a keen cricketer and made his first-class debut for the Otago Volts in February 2019. He is on the Committee for Albion Cricket Club, and also plays rugby for the Dunedin Sharks during the off season.

Tracy Stevenson

Tracy is our Practice Manager and leads the management team while working closely with the Partnership. She oversees all practice improvement projects, operations, HR processes, business development initiatives and provides direct assistance at a strategy/project level. Tracy has worked in the legal sector for over 20 years in New Zealand, Australia and Canada and has experience in private practice firms and large multinational companies. Outside of work, Tracy enjoys spending time with her family, particularly encouraging and supporting her two children with their different interests.
