Dr. Bret L. Fisher

Bret L. Fisher, M.D. graduated from Duke University in 1982 and Duke University School of Medicine in 1986, with honors. Performing his internship in General Medicine at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, Dr. Fisher went on to complete his residency in Ophthalmology at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. While working at Wills, Dr. Fisher took part in authoring the first edition of the Wills Eye Manual, a top-selling book in the field of ophthalmology. In 1993, Dr. Fisher joined the Newberry Eye Clinic in Panama City, Florida as the Medical Director and Attending Surgeon. When Newberry merged with two other practices, becoming Eye Center of North Florida, Dr. Fisher was named Medical Director and held that position until coming to Wells Vision Center. Dr. Fisher has also been a part of numerous studies and clinical trials looking to improve and create new intraocular lens implants. He also took part in pharmaceutical trials for post-cataract inflammation, dry eye, and diabetic eye disease. Dr. Fisher travels far and wide, giving lectures on advances in cataract surgery and another topic in the field of ophthalmology. When not giving lectures or working in the clinic, Dr. Fisher loves to spend time with his wife, Katie and their three children on his farm.

Dr. Kevin W. Wells

Dr. Kevin W. Wells, OD, FAAO*, Diplomate, American Board of Optometry graduated East Central University, Ada, Oklahoma in 1992 where he was President and Vice-President of the Student Senate and was involved in many campus organizations. Upon graduating, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army. After a year and a half of Active Duty Army service, Dr. Wells was accepted into the Northeastern State University College of Optometry. After graduating in 1998, Dr. Wells was in the first class of Optometric Laser Vision Correction Surgeons to be certified by the Oklahoma Board of Examiners in Optometry. Since then, Dr. Wells has become one of the most experienced Optometric Laser Eye Surgeons in the country. He has helped thousands of people eliminate their dependence on glasses or contact lenses. Dr. Wells also routinely performed laser surgery to help glaucoma patients better control their eye pressure without drops. Currently, Florida law does not allow Optometrists to perform laser eye surgery. Dr. Wells leaves a thriving practice in southern Oklahoma where he pioneered laser eye surgery. He was named Young Optometrist of the Year in 2006 by the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians. Dr. Wells is an avid golfer, exercise/crossfit fanatic, and instrument-rated pilot. He enjoys spending time traveling with his two daughters, Gabrielle and Alexandra. Dr. Wells was recently published in the Journal of the American Optometric Association, Vol. 82, No. 8. Dr. Natalie Pelly

Natalie Pelly, O.D. earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama and her Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. While in Alabama, she rotated through the Veterans Affairs Clinic in Birmingham, Community Clinics, and also provided care for patients in various specialty clinics at the UAB School of Optometry such as Vision Therapy, Mild Traumatic Brain Injury, Ocular Disease, Speciality Contact Lenses, and Primary Care. She is excited to be back in South Walton where she enjoys spending time with her husband and Goldendoodle. Her hobbies include bay & deep-sea fishing, painting, paddle boarding, and cooking. She looks forward to caring for the patients of Wells Vision Centers as well as serving the local community.
