WICHITA NEPHROLOGY GROUP - Key Persons
Dr. Amanda Valliant has been practicing at the Wichita Nephrology Group since 2015. As a nephrologist, she specializes in both general and interventional nephrology. In addition to our main location, Dr. Valliant serves at our outreach clinic in Great Bend, Central Kansas Medical Center, and at our ReVask Center. She also completes rounds at several DaVita and Fresenius dialysis units.
In addition to our main location, Dr. Edgard Wehbe serves at two of our outreach locations, the Hutchinson Hospital in Hutchinson and DaVita Dialysis in Parsons. Dr. Wehbe also completes rounds at several DaVita and Fresenius dialysis units.
Dr. Jany (Johnny) K. Moussa has been practicing at the Wichita Nephrology Group since 2002 and currently serves on the board of directors as the president. In addition to completing rounds at several DaVita and Fresenius dialysis units, Dr. Moussa sees patients at our main location and two outreach clinics in Newton: DaVita Dialysis and the Axtell Clinic.
Dr. Levi C. Short has been practicing at Wichita Nephrology Group since 2019. In addition to our main office, Dr. Short serves at our outpatient clinics, provides inpatient consultation, and performs dialysis rounds. Born and raised on a farm near Hamilton, KS, Dr. Short is married with one daughter, Lanna, and has two Cocker Spaniels. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, gardening, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
Dr. Michael E. Grant has been practicing at The Wichita Nephrology Group since 1991 and currently serves on our board of directors as the treasurer. He specializes in the diagnoses and treatment of hypertension and renal diseases. Dr. Grant also serves at our outreach clinic in Winfield, the Winfield Health Care Center, and our outreach clinic in Pratt, DaVita Dialysis. Additionally, Dr. Grant completes rounds at several DaVita and Fresenius dialysis units.
In his free time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, gardening and the occasional game of golf.
In addition to our main location, Dr. Ronnie Moussa serves at our outreach location in El Dorado, the Susan B. Allen Medical Clinic East. Dr. Moussa also completes rounds at several DaVita and Fresenius dialysis units.
Dr. Usha Challa has been practicing at the Wichita Nephrology Group since 1995. She also serves at our outreach clinic DaVita Dialysis in Parsons. Dr. Challa completes rounds at several DaVita and Fresenius dialysis units and clinics at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita. Prior to joining our team, she worked as a staff nephrologist in New York and then with the Veteran Affairs medical centers in Wichita for seven years.

Dr. Wissam Saliba has been practicing at the Wichita Nephrology Group since 2012. His main focuses are taking care of patients through the services provided at the ReVask Center and Dr. Saliba also serves at our Dodge City outreach clinic, Fresenius Group, and our Garden City outreach clinic, DaVita Dialysis. Additionally, Dr. Saliba completes rounds at several DaVita and Fresenius dialysis units.

Erica L Roach , Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN,AGNP-C), has been with the Wichita Nephrology Group since 2020. Prior to working with the Wichita Nephrology Group, Erica worked as a RN at Wesley Medical Center as a staff nurse in the Emergency Room and also as Assistant Nurse Manager in the post op med surgical unit. Erica has an extensive background in taking care of patients with End Stage Renal Disease. Erica has served in roles for DaVita Inc. as Facility Administrator, Clinical Coordinator, Staff Nurse and worked with Acute Dialysis patients. Erica works directly for Dr. Challa within the inpatient setting and assists in seeing clinic patients during the week. She also completes rounds in the outpatient dialysis centers.

Michelle, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Wichita Nephrology Group since 2011, brings a robust background in healthcare administration to the team. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Southwestern College, Michelle boasts over 20 years of experience in both administrative and clinical roles. Her invaluable contributions have played a pivotal role in the growth and success of WNG.
Michelle's expertise extends across various facets of healthcare, with a focus on business negotiation, planning and development, and adept navigation through the dynamic healthcare landscape. Her hands-on clinical experience further enhances her ability to lead the practice effectively. Michelle's commitment to excellence is reflected in her recognition as a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE). As a leader at WNG, she continues to drive the practice forward, demonstrating resilience and adaptability in the ever-evolving healthcare industry.
Shawna Abendroth, Physician Assistant (PA-C), has been with the Wichita Nephrology Group since 2005. She is heavily involved within the dialysis centers.
