Allen Transfer & Storage Co., Inc. is a family owned and operated moving and storage company, established in 1927. The founders, Simon Wilchyk (Sy) and Mildred Allen started Allen Transfer and Storage in Great Neck, Long Island, New York. At the time families were moving both from New York City and the surrounding states to Long Island. Sy and Mildred saw an opportunity, took a chance and opened a moving company to service those needs. Over the years the business operated under a few different names including E.M. Gregory, Return Load Bureau and Allen's Storage & Moving finally coming to be known as Allen Transfer and Storage, Co., Inc...
