Adam joined 1MCB Chambers in 1994 and has as much enthusiasm as ever for providing the highest level of support for solicitors and his barristers.
He has a huge amount of knowledge and prides himself on his approachability, ensuring good relationships with solicitors. Adam is known to 1MCB's solicitors as a ‘go to' contact for any billing queries and is always available out of hours to assist with urgent case matters.
He is noted in the Legal 500 for his high calibre of clerking and for being a leader within our criminal team.

Joe joined Chambers in 2021 after gaining 4 years of experience in clerking at a specialist tax set.
He prides himself on being efficient in his work and being an approachable member of the team.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys socialising with friends, as well as playing both football and golf on weekends.

Michael regularly provides training, advice and supervision to organisations, much of it pro bono.
Michael accepts instructions to defend in a range of matters, including violent and sexual offences, and offences involving weapons, drugs, fraud, dishonesty and driving. He has also advised and acted in appeals against conviction.
Salma specialises mainly in defence work and has developed a highly successful practice encompassing all areas of serious and complex crime.

Soraya is an appointed member of the Accountability Unit, an NGO focusing on providing urgent legal support to obtain redress for survivors of gender based rights violations in conflict settings and hold to account perpetrators of conflict related sexual violence. Soraya is also an appointed member of the Executive Committee of the Bar Human Rights Committee of England and Wales.
Soraya is an engaging trial advocate, known for her rigorous preparation and sensitive witness handling skills, particularly in cases where defendants are unfit to stand trial or vulnerable witnesses.

Tim started his career as a clerk in 1980 in the specialist family law set of Joseph Jackson QC at 1 Mitre Court (now 1 Hare Court). He then spent 8 years in what is now 2 Bedford Row (Chambers of William Clegg QC) as a Second Junior Clerk and was then promoted to Joint First Junior. He joined 5 Pump Court as First Junior Clerk in 1990 before being promoted to Senior Clerk in 1995. Tim joined 1MCB in January 2019 as Senior Civil Clerk.
He is a fully qualified member of the Institute of Barristers' Clerks. In July 2018 he achieved the ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, specifically tailored for barristers' clerks. Tim is a serving member of the Management Committee of the Institute of Barristers Clerks.
Outside of work Tim plays the drums in a rock covers band, is a keen photographer and enjoys running.
