BLUEFIELD DEVELOPERS - Key Persons

Gus Frank emigrated from Germany in 1903, he settled in Harrington Park in 1904 and started the building business and real estate company. One of his first projects was to buy a farm from the Blauvelts at the end of Lafayette Road. Since Blauvelt is German for "blue field" Gus formed Bluefield Developers and started building single family residences throughout the Harrington Park area. In 1921 Gus built the first office building in Harrington Park known as the Bluefield building. It housed his office, the town post office, a confectionary store and the Borough hall on the second floor. After the depression, Gus concentrated mostly on real estate.
