Cam Fricke

Cam Grew up as a missionary kid in Guatemala. He was blessed to watch his parents serve the mission field and see the heart of Jesus Christ impacting the world. All his life he wanted to be a superhero. Unfortunately, no super strength, no flight, no laser eyes. or even cool wall-crawling powers came. Nothin! After this devastating blow of reality, Cam became willing to accept the call to serve in the camping ministry. At the age of 16, he began to fly to the US and serve at a summer camp, falling in love with it. He spent four summers serving as a summer staffer, got his bachelor's degree in Outdoor Leadership, served at a special needs camp for two years, and outdoor education center for a year, and as a full-time staff at two separate camps facilities before Butman. Cam has a passion and heart for helping others move from being pew potatoes to living disciples. He knows that God is working through camps to impact the world and is excited to see what the Lord has in store. Following Christ is of his utmost desire, seeking to hear His voice above all. He wants to leave a legacy that shows the world what it means to follow Jesus to the ends of the earth. He wants every interaction with him to be Christ-centered and fun. He wants you to see Jesus in his life and reflect Him in every interaction. He may not be a superhero on his own, but he is honored to live by the power of the Holy Spirit.

I came to this camp back in the 70's when I was in Junior High and fell in love with it. The whole experience has drastically changed my life. My kids have gone to this camp and I am looking forward to all my eleven grandkids going here. I have plenty of experience in maintenance but my main desire is for everyone to see how much Christ can change your life. Also, the fun you have along the way

Jeff Robinson

Father and grandfather first, Jeff leads our camp with Christ-like grace on a daily basis. He models integrity as a man of God for his family, employees, and for the campers. Jeff's favorite part of working at camp is witnessing the growth of campers into strong men and women of God, and seeing them return to camp to pour into the lives of others!

Robin Myers

Job Titles:
  • Food Service Manager
This good country girl has been in camp ministry since 2009, and now serves as our Food Service Manager. She loves to bake, spend time with family, play board games, and even restore classic pickups! Robin's heart is for service, and she loves to make people smile through her ministry.

Ruthie Butler

Job Titles:
  • Guest Relations Specialist
Ruthie is an animal lover with a servant's heart. She is currently going to school to become a certified dog trainer after already receiving a Bachelors in Animal Science from Texas Tech. Ruthie grew up going to Butman Camp first as a camper, and loved it so much that when she got old enough she returned as a counselor for many years. She loves showing kids the love that God has for them and helping people grow stronger in their relationship to God.

Scott Chapel

Scott Chapel is located just east of Irvine Lodge and will seat 150-200. This chapel has central heat/air and handicapped accessible restrooms. It also has a piano, sound system, electric screen, and a ceiling mounted video projector with capability for VHS, or DVD and hookups for a computer.

Shep Chapel

This historic chapel is located north of Hillside Lodge and will seat 300 people. The chapel has central heat/air and handicapped-accessible restrooms. It also has a piano, sound system, overhead projector, ceiling mounted video projector and electric projection screen.
