Calvert Partners, PLLC was started by James D. Calvert, Ph.D. in 2007. We began by providing continuing education to mental health professionals and working with organizations to assess the effectiveness of their programs. In addition to operating Calvert Partners, Dr. Calvert continued providing mental health services to clients and teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. While teaching in psychology, counseling, and social work programs, students regularly sought out his expertise in mental health training because he had been both a clinician and an academician. As more students sought out his advice on graduate school and careers in mental health counseling, Dr. Calvert began focusing more on academic advising and coaching for students interested in pursuing graduate training and careers in mental health services.
