Adele Boufford Baker

A native of Manchester, Adele is a second generation Franco-American and proud of her heritage and culture. She was educated in local schools and attended Rivier University and the University of New Hampshire She is also a member of PI DELTA PHI, the French National Honor Society at St Anselm College. Raised in a bi-lingual family, her love for the French language continued at the Berlitz School of Languages in Boston where she would later become the Director of The Translation Services. Returning to Manchester, she substituted in French and Spanish in local High Schools and teaching English as a Foreign Language to newly arrived French Canadians. She was a partner in Baker, Pappas & Dastin, Marketing and Public Relations. As Director of Development at Notre Dame College, she coordinated all fundraising and planned giving activities. From 1994 to 2004, Adele served as Executive Director of The Centre Franco-américain, a French cultural and heritage organization promoting the talents of Francophone artists the world over. In 1997 she was named Franco American of the Year. In 2001, she became Honorary Consul of France and has been proud to represent the French government in New Hampshire to this day. In 2004, collaborated on the Quebec 400 (1604-2004) the founding of Quebec and served on The Champlain Committee to erect a commemorative plaque on the banks of the St Lawrence River depicting the cities and towns in New England where the French Canadians settled at the turn of the 20th Century. Manchester, NH played a prominent during that event. She remains very active by volunteering and has served on the Boards of Directors of Catholic Medical Center, Make-a- Wish, The Manchester City Library, The Manchester Community Music School, The Gilbert French Language Foundation and The Holy Cross Family Learning Center. She is on the The Palace Theatre Advisory Board She is a Paul Harris Fellow of the Queen City Rotary Club. In 2008, President Sarkozy named her Knight of the National Order of Mérit, France's second highest honor. Adele owns and along with her son Edmond operates J. N. Boufford & Sons, a four generation funeral home in Manchester. Another son, Greg, is an Anesthesiologist in NYC and she has 2 grandchildren. She's an avid golfer and loves to travel. Ellen Koenig

Ellen has worked in the New Hampshire nonprofit sector for all of her professional life. Starting her work career as a sign language interpreter, she then went on to become co-Executive Director at Granite State Independent Living. From there, she spent 10 years as a grantmaker and project manager at NH Charitable Foundation, where she developed a deep appreciation for the unique role that nonprofits and donors play in the state. From there, she helped to develop programs for the NH Center for Nonprofits. Currently, Ellen is the part-time Director of Grantmaking for the NH Women's Foundation, and also consults with a wide variety of nonprofits. She has served on a variety of nonprofit boards, including Leadership NH, Circle Program and the NH Women's Initiative. Ellen lives in Concord with her husband and rescue dog, and has 3 grown children, "I can't think of a more effective organization in our state, doing more important work than CASA. Prior to working as a lawyer and mediator, Karen was the President and General Manager of NBC affiliate WNNE-TV and worked as the Marketing and Development Director for Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, NH. Karen is admitted to practice law in both Vermont and New Hampshire; although she is currently inactive in both states. She is a former President and Vice President of the Grafton County Bar Association. Karen was the 2003-04 recipient of the Vermont Bar Association's Community Service Award. Linda Lovering

Linda grew up in Milford New Hampshire and attended the University of New Hampshire, Whittemore School of Business, presently the Paul School. Her studies included a Semester at Sea her senior year, in which she traveled the world studying international business and marketing for 3 ½ months. In 1981 she accepted a position at Sander's Associates (presently BAE Systems) as an Administrator/Accountant for the machine shop in the flexible circuit division. Sue Chollet

Tom Stevens retired in 2013 and relocated with his wife Chris from Cleveland, Ohio to Manchester. Prior to retirement, Tom served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Administrative Officer of KeyCorp, the parent bank holding company of KeyBank, from 2001 to 2013. Before joining KeyCorp as General Counsel in 1996, he was the Managing Partner of Thompson Hine, a large (450 lawyer), national law firm headquartered in Cleveland. Tom joined Thompson Hine in 1974 following his graduation from Duke Law School. Tom was active in community and civic affairs in Cleveland, including being Chairman of the Board of Playhouse Square Foundation (the performing arts center of Cleveland), Chairman of the Board of the Greater Cleveland Roundtable (focused on improving diversity and race relations in Cleveland), Chairman of the Board of the Cleveland Leadership Center (which included Leadership Cleveland). Since moving to Manchester, Tom joined the Board of Trustees of the New Hampshire Institute of Art and served as Chairman of the Board from 2017 to 2018. Tom oversaw the successful affiliation of the New Hampshire Institute of Art with New England College at the end of 2018 and joined New England College's Board of Trustees in 2019. Shortly after moving to Manchester, Tom became a CASA advocate and has been a supporter of the organization. Tom and his wife Chris are both originally from Skaneateles, New York (in the Finger Lakes region). They have 3 children and 8 grandchildren. Their oldest daughter, Erin Kerwin, and her family live in Manchester. Their other children and grandchildren live in Atlanta, Ga.
