CONTOURS TRAVEL - Key Persons
Bosque del Cabo is approximately 300 km from San Jose, at the very tip of the Osa Peninsula. The Osa is Costa Rica's southernmost peninsula on the Pacific Ocean side, located north of Panama. More than 350 species of birds have been identified in the area while monkeys, coatis, kinkajous, agoutis, and sloths are daily visitors. Nearby attractions include the wild Pacific coast with tide pools, caves and waterfalls, calm sandy gulf beaches, surfing, kayaking, deep-sea fishing, sailboat trips, hiking, horseback riding, treetop canopy and much more.
Bosque del Cabo is a premier Costa Rica Eco Lodge in the unspoiled jungles. It offers a romantic rainforest getaway and a naturalist's dream come true. It has a unique and fortunate location at the very tip of the Osa Peninsula in the southern Pacific region of Costa Rica. This forest reserve lodge features private, spacious bungalows and gorgeous houses perched atop the cliffs of Cabo Matapalo. It's hiking trails lead you through the forest to deserted beaches on both the Golfo Dulce and Pacific Ocean.
Bosque del Cabo has ten beautifully crafted thatched-roof bungalows set among lush gardens. Some offer beautiful ocean views, tropical breezes and the rainforest at your doorstep. Alternatively or choose beautiful and rustic garden view accommodations surrounded by thriving rainforests. They provide stunning ocean views, modern bathrooms with delightful outdoor garden showers, and porches furnished with hammocks. These romantic nature lodge bungalows overlook the confluence of the mighty Pacific and the Golfo Dulce.
Bosque del Cabo has it all here for you. You can go for the really active and thrilling adventures, such as zipping through the rainforest to alight on our 110 foot high tree platform or descend a natural rock wall as you follow the course of a beautiful waterfall, or try more tame ventures such as a leisurely sunset tour around the Bosque grounds or a relaxing kayak tour around the Golfo Dulce. And you can even try our totally relaxing activities such as having a jungle massage or shopping for local crafts in our gift shop. We will do our best to set up all the tours you want once you get to the lodge. The only tour that we recommend setting up in advance of your stay is sport fishing (due to limited number of boats and captains).

- Sunny - Senior Travel Consultant
After graduating from University in his native United Kingdom, itchy feet prompted Sunny to defer a graduate scheme to pursue a lifelong dream of travelling. After several fascinating months exploring Asia, he discovered South America and it was here he realised he had found the destination he had truly been searching for. Starting in Rio De Janeiro for Carnival, highlights included trekking in Patagonia, exploring the Amazon rainforest and rappelling waterfalls in Colombia.
The sheer diversity of this continent with its beautiful landscapes, incredible wildlife and vibrant cultures all came together to ignite his passion for Latin America. Sunny's time in South America really caught his imagination and eventually bought him to a career with Audley Travel where he was able to travel to Antarctica - he was bitten by the Polar Bug and was lucky enough to also travel to the Arctic to experience the Expedition Cruising product in this exciting part of the world!
Since then he has returned to explore Central America spending 6 months travelling from Mexico down to the Darien Gap (finding the elusive Harpy Eagle!) in Panama. Sunny's next adventure was moving Down Under where he continued to create luxury itineraries at Abercrombie & Kent, but the calling for Latin America led him to the passionate team at Contours Travel, where he now utilises his specialist knowledge of this region to help others enjoy this truly unique corner of the world.
