Recognizing a unique opportunity in providing dental staffing to dental facilities, Karen conceptualized and established Dental Auxiliary Placement Service, Inc. in 1988. As a registered nurse (R.N.), Karen has had a vast array of hands-on experience where, prior to founding DAPS she was a working professional in the health field, practicing in both the medical and dental sectors. Karen has attended numerous dental workshops, seminars and the Midwest Dental Convention where her company was an exhibitor for several years. She has served as President of the Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce and as a Board Member for many years. Her hobbies and leisure time activities include: gardening, cooking, music, reading and spending time with family and friends.

A musician, producer, published author, (It's All About The Music Marketing Stupid), consultant, lecturer and adjunct professor Kent Anderson has held key positions within the industry at Virgin Records, GRP Records, N2K, Inc. and as President of A440 Music Group. He is an Adjunct Faculty member of the Columbia College Chicago Business & Entrepreneurship Department where he instructs the Business of Music, Entertainment Marketing, and Decision Making: Music Business. Anderson is a voting member of The Recording Academy [the Grammys] and is an Eagle Boy Scout.

Prior to her tenure at DAPS, Sharon was an R.N. at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chicago. Additionally, she has a great deal of experience in the dental field having served as a Dental Assistant, Dental Receptionist and Dental Billing Coordinator, (she is a certified Dental Coder from the American Dental Coders Association). Sharon began her employment with DAPS, Inc. in September 1992. She initiated the idea and of what ultimately evolved into the creation of our digital Job Board, resulting in our ability to post active job opportunities in real-time on our website. Throughout the years Sharon's contributions and dedication have played a significant part in building the successful business entity DAPS, Inc. is today. Sharon has two grown children; both having received their JD from DePaul Law School. Don is the Managing Partner of his own law firm in downtown Chicago. The other, Julie is a lawyer and mother of three beautiful young children. Sharon's brother-in-law served as the Officiant at her daughter's wedding in the fall of 2018 and she was blessed with a granddaughter the following year, a grandson the year thereafter, and a granddaughter in 2022. Sharon is a proud grandmother and part-time babysitter. In her free time Sharon enjoys bike riding, nutrition, shopping, dining out, relaxing and traveling.
