She graduated from The University of Houston/Clear Lake in 1983 and began work at the University of Texas medical Branch in Galveston. Dr. Howard graduated from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1989 and then completed her internship in the Dallas area in 1990. She then began working with a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician and working in Family/Minor Emergency clinic in the Dallas area. In 1991, she returned to the Houston area and became Medical Director of a Family/Minor Emergency clinic. She also began her private practice in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine that same year, working with a dentist that specialized in Temporalmandibular Joint Dysfunction.
