Louis Erlanger

Louis Erlanger has been at the crossroads of music and technology for over thirty years, helping companies adopt new technologies. Originally a touring and recording musician, he recorded for various major labels, won numerous awards, and had his guitar playing featured in commercial films. His parallel interests in computer science and new technology landed him a position as Director of Systems Development at EMI Music Publishing, the world's largest music publisher, where he spearheaded a project to consolidate the company's worldwide catalog of over a million songs, and to make EMI Music Publishing the first major music publisher to place its music catalog online for searching and streaming. In 2005 Erlanger formed his own consulting company and continued to consult for EMI and many other companies. He hosts two radio shows and writes for a number of technology publications and blogs.
