Brendan is an architectural designer with keen attention to detail and a passion for rendering. At Goody Clancy, Brendan relishes the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, from new lab buildings to historic preservation projects. His skills in diagramming and rendering enable him to effectively communicate complex ideas to clients and colleagues alike. He particularly loves applying his detail-oriented approach to identify even the most subtle design opportunities to improve a project's functionality and beauty. In his free time, Brendan likes to experiment with CGI and visual effect programs, such as Unreal Engine. As an Architecture Intern and Designer at Goody Clancy, Dominick is excited to contribute to projects that have a lasting, positive effect on communities. Every day at the office brings different responsibilities for Dominick, from developing new designs to contributing to design competitions, schematic design, and renderings. Elyse King

Job Titles:
  • Designer
  • Designer / Education Bachelor of Architecture, Boston Architectural College Advanced Diploma in Architectural Technology, Sheridan College
Elyse deftly juggles various roles from project management to design. With a focus on the S&T practice area, she oversees project coordination, documents existing conditions, produces detailed drawings, conducts site visits, and everything in-between. Elyse's innate love for the creative process was sparked during high school when she took an architecture class. Her unique perspective on design is influenced by her interests in team sports, art school, and dance. At Goody Clancy, Elyse finds inspiration in the creative process and the possibilities of creating spaces for people to learn, work, and discover. She especially loves renovation projects and finds the process of exploring existing conditions and reimagining their potential to be incredibly rewarding. Beyond her architectural work, Elyse is passionate about yoga and cooking. Both remind her of architecture, in that one is continually learning and developing through practice.

Jackey Robinson

Job Titles:
  • Designer
  • Designer / Education Bachelor of Architecture, Morgan State University Master of Architecture, Rhode Island School of Design
Jackey has always been immersed in the world of architecture. His father-a carpenter, electrician, plumber, welder, and construction manager-owns a Residential Improvement and Management Company, which exposed Jackey to the construction process at an early age. He credits HGTV for solidifying his interests and steering him toward attending a construction and engineering high school in Washington DC, allowing him to begin formally studying architecture at the young age of 15. For Jackey, architecture is a means of creating community; he loves designing spaces where people are encouraged to engage and interact. He brings a range of skills to his work, including a positive, collaborative attitude; strong time management; active listening; and attention to detail. Jackey is also a passionate collector of vinyl records (including a copy of Prince's Sign "☮︎" the Times) and a lover of Boomerang cartoons (The Flinstones and The Jetsons, especially). As a recent graduate myself, I am driven to create spaces that I would have wanted as a student in college-spaces which support my academic pursuits as well as my physical and mental well-being.

Jaime Toro

Job Titles:
  • Designer
  • Designer / Education Bachelor of Architecture, University of Miami
For Jaime, the most rewarding aspect of his work is witnessing a project's realization after years of dedicated efforts and visionary thinking. He aspires to design spaces that not only exemplify sustainable practices but also serve as beacons of inspiration for future generations, fostering a greater sense of environmental consciousness and community. Outside of his professional pursuits, Jaime is an avid soccer fan. He enjoys spectating the sport and playing it himself. When he isn't engrossed in a match or rooting for FC Barcelona, you might find him hiking, a hobby he recently picked up after moving to the Northeast.

Jannet's work prioritizes sustainability and social responsibility. She enjoys collaborating with institutions to innovate spaces that respond to evolving community needs. Her work, which embodies a diverse range of projects, is rooted in a holistic understanding of how public infrastructure, neighborhood development, and social communities interact with one another. Laura Carless

Job Titles:
  • Designer
  • Member of the Leadership Team
  • Designer / Education Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Rhetoric, University of Pittsburgh Master of Architecture, University at Buffalo
Growing up in Buffalo, New York, Laura developed an innate curiosity about the richly architectural and evolving urban landscape which surrounded her. Daunted at first by the idea of pursuing architecture professionally, a sculpture class inspired her to explore 3D forms in new and expressive ways, eventually leading her to fully embrace the discipline. Joining Goody Clancy, Laura is thrilled to contribute to a firm that prioritizes environmental consciousness and community impact. Her enthusiasm for working with youth, fostered during her time with AmeriCorps Jumpstart, now fuels her creation of inspiring learning spaces. Notable among her work is a university health, wellness, and recreation center designed with the goal of connecting students to the natural environment and the surrounding campus. Beyond her architectural pursuits, Laura has a penchant for all things antique, vintage, and quirky. Her weekends often involve scouting estate sales and markets, perpetually on the hunt for unique accents that resonate with her Scandinavian grandma-inspired interior aesthetic. She is also an enthusiastic aunt, a devoted cat mom, and a gluten-free chocolate chip cookie enthusiast.

Muna El-Taha

Job Titles:
  • Designer
  • Designer / Education Bachelor of Architecture and Minor in Middle Eastern Studies, Wellesley College Master of Architecture, University of Minnesota Twin Cities
Muna has been making things since she was a kid, from obstacle courses to clothes for dolls, jewelry, and art. She loves pushing creative boundaries and solving puzzles, a skill she practices when piecing a building together. She's inspired by the range of architecture and urban design around the world, and how culture, identity, and design interconnect at scales ranging from the home to the city plan. As an Architectural Designer at Goody Clancy, Muna is involved in a range of tasks on projects including design, documentation, and coordination with consultants. She enjoys creating spaces where students can explore their interests, build friendships, and generate new ideas together. She's contributed to multiple renovation projects, breathing new life into buildings such as the Boston University Center for Brain Recovery and the historic Megaron at Worcester Academy, fulfilling the structure's original 1900s design intent. Muna also runs Goody Clancy's PIC program, leading design discovery lesson plans, or "architecture crash courses", for interns in coordination with project teams. Muna enjoys spending her free time experimenting with new baking recipes, techniques, and flavor combinations. She also loves her many plants which are slowly taking over her apartment. Because of this, she's known for gifting propagated plants to colleagues. One thing that I love about our work is that when presented with the same problem, the outcome is always different. With every project, we get to explore new ways of thinking, designing, and problem solving to best fit the needs of the people and place. We're always looking for great people to join our team.

Noor Shakeel

Job Titles:
  • Office Coordinator
  • Office Coordinator / Education Bachelor of Fine Arts, Cornell University
Noor is a helper with a flexible spirit: that's why she flourishes as Goody Clancy's Office Coordinator. Noor's role involves problem-solving in a wide variety of contexts to keep the office running smoothly. Her responsibilities change by the day, but her goal-to be a team player who helps her colleagues-doesn't. A painter drawn to all things art-related, Noor is particularly passionate about early-1900s surrealism. I am very adaptable and can problem-solve on the fly. This often comes in handy when it comes to my job!

Patrick O'Connor

Job Titles:
  • Accountant
Project Accountant Patrick is motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the design of buildings that will eventually outlive him and impact generations to come. Throughout his days at Goody Clancy, Patrick processes consultant invoices, generates the firm's invoices, runs payroll, and maintains business logs. In his role, Patrick's organizational skills and attention to detail ensure that the accounting and administration is tight and orderly, so that the architects can stay focused on design. Patrick has been most excited to contribute to the revitalization of the UMass Amherst Goodell Building on the campus of his Alma Mater. When he's not processing invoices, Patrick is likely diving into Ireland's rich history.

Paul Santos

Job Titles:
  • Senior Associate
When he was young, Paul struggled in school because he lost interest in materials and concepts that were difficult to grasp. This experience inspires him to help others by communicating ideas in clear and easily digestible ways. He was eventually led to architecture by watching Bob Vila host the home improvement series "This Old House." At Goody Clancy, Paul's artistic skills transform visions and technical details into bold visuals which allow audiences to immerse themselves in a project before it is built. Paul provides graphics support to teams across the firm from design visualizations to marketing efforts. His work has allowed for successful stakeholder and community engagement workshops across dozens of projects, making feedback simple and straightforward for everyone. He is responsible for giving projects their own visual identity, as well as producing interactive meeting materials, presentations, and community input summaries. Paul has been instrumental in shaping Goody Clancy's new brand identity, and in making its realization a collective, firm-wide effort. Paul was once a gymnast; he quit when he was told he'd have to give up candy (zero regrets). He also was once on stage in a production of Hamlet when an elastic on his costume snapped and his pants dropped to the floor (many, many regrets).

Pip Gonatas

Job Titles:
  • Marketing Coordinator
While interning at the Design Museum in Boston, Pip became deeply immersed in the design industry while curating an exhibit that explored the art and mechanics of prosthetic devices. Since then, she has been fascinated by the creative process and motivated to work in an industry that uses design to make positive change and improve the way people live, work and play. Pip works closely with Goody Clancy practice area leaders to craft project narratives, as well as thoughtful proposal packages for higher education clients. She also manages the firm's social media presence and is most proud of her role in significantly growing Goody Clancy's engagement and reach. The range of Pip's creative and business development tasks allows her to hone her communication strategy skills to expand the firm's portfolio of sustainable projects. Pip has her eyes set on pursuing clients with the vision to create inspirational education spaces, reduce carbon emissions, and cultivate a new generation of leaders and innovators. Pip is an experienced (but rusty) violinist and has performed solos for Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" (many strings were broken leading up to this performance). She is also passionate about learning new languages, though her conversational Greek needs a lot of work. When she's not ankles-deep in InDesign, Pip is curating her Spotify playlist repertoire, geeking out on video game design, or planning her next travel excursion. I love working for a firm that values equity and sustainability. I find it incredibly rewarding to work alongside a talented group of designers who are passionate about climate action and strive for positive change, while being kind, intelligent, conscientious, and authentic.

Sydney Anderson

Job Titles:
  • Designer
  • Member of the Leadership Team

Sydney is driven by a perpetual desire to learn new things. Her role at Goody Clancy reflects her broad interests, and includes drafting, programming, planning, and consultant coordination. She finds inspiration in the mentorship of her colleagues and enjoys collaborating with them to create innovative new spaces for learning and community. Sydney's willingness to take on new challenges is one of her greatest strengths, allowing her to approach problems with a fresh perspective and find creative solutions. Sydney's initial curiosity about a career in architecture sprang from her love of both math and art. Her passion for architectural design was solidified through study abroad in Greece, Italy, Spain, and China. Through her travels-which included visits to 40 different cities-she experienced firsthand the impact that good design can have on a person's experience in a space. The most rewarding part of my work is that every day I get to work on a wide variety of learning spaces for our clients. I love to see how the spaces we create can help people to learn, relax, or collaborate in better ways than they could before.

Passionate about sharing the power of hands-on experimentation, Will is most proud of his work in the BeND Digital Ready Summer Studio, where underserved high school students were given the opportunity to explore their creative potential through design and fabrication.
