I consider myself a painter, printer, and mixed media artist. The effects of growing up in a bohemian household is at the heart of my work, enriched by my mother's fascination with collecting antique's. Home was a stimulating mix of colour, style and texture, my surroundings are part of my make-up, and my art is the response... My Mother's love of antiques became an addiction, and hoarding took over. As time has gone by, I have had space to contemplate, sort and appreciate these beautiful objects, they create a narrative, representing memory's, meanings, and emotions, as well as the history of the objects that are familiar to me, they hold a connection to my past.
