Bob Gaydos

Bob's passion for manufacturing started shortly after learning lean at Nissan. After Nissan, he helped grow businesses in the industrial equipment, HVAC, medical device, building products and interior fashions industries. As Senior Vice President of Smith and Nephew, a multi-national medical device company, Bob led the design, construction and start-up of a Greenfield operation in China. Prior to joining Prime360®, Bob managed the supply chain for Springs Window Fashions and was part of the successful sale of the company. He enjoys working on the floor as well as developing strategy. Bob graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and a MBA from Illinois Institute of Technology.

Brian Demkowicz - Chairman

Brian is a seasoned investor with a successful 35+ year track record of partnering with passionate entrepreneurs to build bigger, better companies. He founded Huron Capital in 1999 with the goal of building great companies with great people through the deployment of high-impact buy-and-build investment strategies. The core tenets of this approach include improving profitability through operating efficiencies and accelerating growth through revenue initiatives and strategic add-ons while maintaining a conservative margin of safety. Since inception, Huron Capital has successfully established seven private equity funds totaling nearly $2.0 billion and invested in over 275 businesses throughout North America. Upon elevation of the current Leadership Team, Brian became Chairman in 2022 and remains active as a senior advisor and is a member of the firm's Investment Committee and Board of Directors. Outside of Huron, Brian works with a number of emerging managers, independent sponsors and entrepreneurs, providing guidance and capital. Brian is actively involved with numerous industry, civic, educational and charitable organizations, including The Detroit Regional Chamber, The GreenLight Fund, The Catholic Foundation of Michigan, The Detroit Athletic Club Foundation, Lead Guitar Detroit, The Special Operators Transition Fund, and The University of Detroit Jesuit High School. In addition, Brian established the Huron Footprints program to support initiatives that will have a positive and lasting impact in our local community. Brian is an avid guitar player and once met George Harrison in an airport lounge. His experience in assessing and managing risk helped him survive bungee jumping in New Zealand and running with the bulls in Spain. He is a fitness enthusiast who enjoys participating in challenging athletic competitions. Brian has five kids, three dogs and one wife, and is a life-long Chicago Bears fan. Brian graduated from the Krannert School of Management (now known as the Mitchell E. Daniels Jr. School of Business) at Purdue University with a B.S. in Accounting, earned an M.B.A. from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and is a CPA (inactive).

Brian Rassel

Brian is a Partner and Sector Captain at Huron Capital. Brian is responsible for sourcing, driving value creation, and leading exit processes. He is also a member of the firm's Investment Committee. Prior to joining Huron Capital, Brian was an Associate at Prophet, a global growth strategy consulting firm advising clients on positioning, innovation and customer acquisition for B2B and B2C businesses. His responsibilities included strategic, competitive and customer analyses across a range of industries. Prior to Prophet, Brian was a consultant with New England Consulting Group where he led project management in their private equity practice for buy-side clients.

Brian Walker

As a seasoned and tenured executive, Brian has expertise in finance, international business, executive compensation, strategy development, and organizational and human resource matters. Prior to joining Huron Capital, Brian spent 29 years with Herman Miller, Inc. ("Herman Miller"), most recently as its Chief Executive Officer from 2004 to 2018. Prior to serving as CEO, Brian served in multiple senior-level executive roles, including President, Chief Operating Officer, President of Herman Miller North America, Chief Financial Officer, and Executive Vice President. Before joining Herman Miller, he worked as a Certified Public Accountant for the accounting firm of Arthur Andersen. In addition to his numerous board affiliations noted below, Brian also served as a Director of Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, President of The Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturer's Association (BIFMA), and Director of Business Leaders for Michigan. He also serves as Director of The Institute for Vision Research at the University of Iowa.

Cale Kaczmarek

Cale is a member of the Investment Team and responsible for deal execution and portfolio company monitoring and value creation initiatives. Prior to joining Huron Capital, Cale was an Investment Banking Analyst in William Blair's Services and Industrials group, where he was responsible for executing sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions. His responsibilities included valuation, financial analysis, deal execution, and strategic advisory for both sell-side and buy-side engagements.

Carl Kubas

Carl currently is providing business management consulting services primarily focusing upon defining metrics, implementing efficient policies and practices while driving continuous improvement programs to enhance enterprise value. Prior to this, Carl spent 16 years at Optimum Plastics, Inc. (F/K/A Bloomer Plastics, Inc.) where the operations of two film manufactures (blown and cast) were successfully combined into one operation. As President and Chief Financial Officer Carl had oversight responsibility for all aspects of the business including financial, operational, legal and human resource activities. Prior to that, Carl practiced as a Certified Public Accountant for 15 years at RSM US, LLP and Anderson, Bowen & Company where he provided auditing, tax and consulting services to a client base primarily focused in the manufacturing and distribution sectors. Carl graduated with a BS degree in accounting from Minnesota State University, Moorhead.

Carolyn Suttles

Carolyn is responsible for general administration, office management, and executive, business development and marketing support. Prior to joining Huron Capital, Carolyn was a High School English teacher and Senior Advisor, working in Detroit public charter schools. Prior to teaching in the classroom full-time, Carolyn coordinated internships, job shadows and volunteer experiences for University Prep Schools located in downtown Detroit. During her time at UPrep, Carolyn created long-lasting relationships with many different Detroit organizations and businesses such as the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan, The Belle Isle Conservancy, and Wayne State University. As part of her role, Carolyn was also responsible for the planning and execution of district-wide career fairs, the annual internship showcase, and various training events.

Clay Savoy

Clay brings over 20 years of strategic, financial, and operational leadership experience within the Industrial service space. Most recently, Clay served on the Board of Directors of Versa Integrity Group and was the CEO of Versa from 2014-2020. Clay began his career as a field technician where he learned from some of the best technical minds in the business, before founding his own business (Savoy Technical Services, Inc.) that eventually became the backbone of Versa Integrity Group. As CEO of Versa, Clay and his team built one of the largest privately held Industrial and Reliability Inspection companies (a vertical of the TICC sector) in the US and Caribbean by positioning the platform to support an aggressive M&A and organic growth strategy that resulted in the successful integration of 8 businesses over a 6-year time. Clay earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering - Cum Laude at McNeese State University and a Master of Business Administration at Rice University - Jones School of Business.

Dave Zilko

Dave Zilko has been an entrepreneur for over 25 years, most notably as Vice Chairman of Ferndale-based Garden Fresh Gourmet. Dave's primary responsibilities at Garden Fresh were sales and strategy, and he helped usher the company to $110 million in revenue before engineering its sale to The Campbell's Soup Company for almost a quarter billion dollars. Dave subsequently wrote a book detailing how he and his partners built Garden Fresh. Entitled "Irrational Persistence; Seven Secrets That Turned a Bankrupt Startup into a $231 million Business," the book was published by Wiley & Sons, who distributed it nationally where it enjoyed time on USA Today's best seller list. Dave currently serves as CEO of a plant-based protein brand he co-founded, The Skinny Butcher, and as Chairman of FUEL Leadership, an emerging digital media property specializing in the university communication space. Dave has been an Operating Partner at Huron Capital for close to ten years and serves on several boards. Dave was also recently awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Entrepreneurs Association.

David Alexander

David Alexander has served in executive positions for large corporations for over 30 years. At the age of 30, he became Vice President of Transportation and Distribution for Best Catalog Stores a multi-billion- dollar retailer based in Richmond, VA. In 1993, he was named SVP Distribution and Transportation for Checker, Shucks and Kragen Auto Parts in Phoenix, AZ and in 1995 joined Family Dollar stores in Charlotte, NC as Senior Vice President of Distribution and Transportation. Over the next five years his responsibilities were expanded beyond supply chain to include merchandise planning and forecasting, real estate, construction and new store opening. In 2000, at the age of 43, he was named Family Dollar's Chief Operating Officer and in 2003 also named its President. During this time, Family Dollar added roughly 500 stores per year and was named to both the S&P 500 and Fortune 500. In 2005, he accepted the position of Chairman, President and CEO of Portrait Corporation of America, the world's largest portrait studio chain and the operator of over 2000 Wal Mart Portrait Studios in North America, Europe and the Caribbean. From 2008 through 2012, he served as President and CEO of Citi Trends, a 600- store apparel retailer. From 2012 through September 2018, David served as President and CEO of TruGreen, the worlds largest lawn care provider with over 14,000 associates and 2.5 million customers. Based on the turnaround of TruGreen David was named the 2017 E&Y Southeast Entrepreneur of the year for retail and consumer. David serves on the Board of Groundworks Companies, Diversified Conveyors International, Southern Systems International, Blackmon Mooring and BMS CAT. David is a business graduate of East Tennessee State University.

David Brunori

As former CEO of Valentus Specialty Chemicals & President of Quest Automotive Products, he was responsible for significant growth and professionalization of both businesses. David has a proven track record in strategy development, acquisition & integration, commercial development, new product innovations and cultural change. David has prior experience with companies such as Brudner Polymer Corp., Valspar, PPG, Quest Specialty Chemicals, Valentus Specialty Chemicals and Sherwin Williams. He founded Headwater Advisors, LLC in 2021 to utilize his vast experiences to help good companies get to the next level.

Dennis Riordan

Dennis is a food & beverage and consumer products expert, and brings to the Huron Capital team a deep understanding of finance, strategic planning, and mergers & acquisitions. He recently retired as President of TreeHouse Foods, Inc., the world's largest private label food & beverage manufacturer with over 16,000 employees and 50 plants across the U.S., Canada, and Italy. Prior to his current role at TreeHouse, Dennis served as the company's Executive Vice President and CFO for nearly 11 years. Before TreeHouse, Dennis was the CFO of Océ-USA, a $1.5 billion manufacturer of printing supplies and related products. Prior to that, he held financial leadership positions with the $700 million Sunbeam Household Products Division and Wilson Sporting Goods. The first ten years of his career were with Coopers and Lybrand, and he is a Certified Public Accountant.

Eric Stuart

Eric is responsible for fund operations and fund financial transactions. Prior to joining Huron Capital, Eric spent 4 years at PwC, where he worked as a Senior Associate in the Core Assurance practice. Eric worked with several clients in a variety of industries, but spent most of his time in the automotive industry. He was responsible for overseeing yearly audits and quarterly reviews of the financial statements of publicly traded companies.

Ethan Webster

Frank Grossi

With extensive consumer products expertise and experience, Frank has led strategic consulting engagements for many of the world's leading retailers and manufacturers. He is currently Chairman and CEO of The Partnering Group, where he serves on numerous consumer products committees and boards, contributing to the development of collaborative and innovative industry practices. As part of his consulting career, Frank has been responsible for TPG's retail and manufacturer practices while leading more than four hundred client engagements within almost every consumer products sector throughout the world. Frank is considered one of the world's leading experts in demand creation and is the principal author of several industry best practice publications including: Category Management, Efficient Assortment, Advanced Category Management, Building Organizational Capability and Delivering Consumer Solutions and Beyond Foodservice…How Consumers View Meals. He joined The Partnering Group from Procter & Gamble, where he held several management positions within the market development organization in North America.

Fred Quinn

Fred has 39 years of specialty chemical industry experience. With Huron's support, Fred co-founded Quest Specialty Chemicals in 2003 and served as CEO until 2012 and its Chairman until 2014. From 2003 until Huron's exit in 2011, Quest grew from an idea on paper to $125 million in revenues through a combination of acquisitions and organic growth, and to $300 million by the end of 2014. Previously, Fred served as the founder and Chief Executive Officer at Royal Adhesives and was a Division President of Sovereign Specialty Chemicals. Also, Fred has served as President of K.J. Quinn & Co., Business Unit Manager of Morton International Thermoplastic Polyurethanes. Fred was a Board Member of the American Coatings Association and recipient of its 2014 Industry Statesman Award.

Gabe Mesanza

Gabe has extensive experience across various industries and facets of company operations. Prior to Huron Capital, Gabe held multiple senior operating roles in Private Equity portfolio companies, including VP of Quality, VP of Operations, COO, and CEO. He was also COO of Rivian Automotive, an electric vehicle startup based in Detroit, where he led the acquisition and development of the manufacturing facility. Gabe spent 11 years in consulting, with roles at Deloitte, KPMG, and Alvarez & Marsal, working on a number of performance improvement, M&A, and interim management roles. Gabe began his career at 19 years old in a General Motors stamping facility and then moved onto roles in manufacturing, product development, product planning, and purchasing. B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a specialty in Automotive Engineering from Kettering University; Masters of Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; Masters of Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Gene Callahan

Gene is an Operating Partner at Huron Capital where he helps drive key value creation initiatives with various portfolio companies alongside their management teams and Huron investment professionals. In addition to his help with existing portfolio companies, Gene also assists with sourcing, evaluating, and executing new investments as well as the identification and development of potential market entry opportunities for new platform initiatives. He currently serves on the board of TriStrux Holdings, LLC, where he is the Co-Chairman. His decades of experience on both sides of a deal table include founding and operating various telecom and construction services businesses which were ultimately sold to private equity partners. Prior to starting these businesses, Gene's professional career began in the finance sector working for Robert W. Baird and then Goldman Sachs where he completed mergers and acquisitions, public/private financings, and institutional investments.

Gerry Loftus

Greg Boudreau

Greg brings decades of e-commerce experience to IQ Brands and Horsepower Automotive Group (ADD/DV8) as an Operating Partner and Board Member. As Co-Founder and CEO of Surplus Direct from 1992-1999, he was responsible for transforming a successful direct-to-consumer catalog into a pioneering e-commerce powerhouse. He grew revenue from $0 to $100M in a 6-year period, which placed Surplus Direct on the Inc. 500 List of Fastest-Growing Companies. He is a former Executive and Board Member of Egghead, Inc. the acquirer of Surplus Direct. Greg has served on the Boards of several start-up companies including the pioneering email marketing platform, @Once (now Data Axle) and e-commerce retailer, Outdoorplay.com. Greg works closely with many Huron companies on their digital and multi-channel commercial strategies. Since 2018, Greg has been a partner at Cascade Property Partners, a real estate holding company. He has a record of creating value by building strong relationships, seizing opportunity, and executing on ideas in all investments. Greg is an entrepreneur, active board member of Electronics Assemblers, Inc., and an advisor to various companies, including Ronnoco Coffee, Nativepet.com, Kingdomhome.com, Listingmasters.com, and Echo Rowing.

Greg Peterson

Greg Peterson is the Managing Director at GH Peterson Investments. He has more than 25 years of direct investment, syndication, acquisition, recapitalization, growth equity, turnarounds, and management experience. He has held and successfully harvested investment positions in a variety of industries including IT, internet, software, business services, and manufacturing. Prior to GH Peterson Investments, he co-founded BCP where he co-led several successful growth and buyout investments. Prior to BCP, Greg was Head of Corporate Development at WorkFront, Inc. where he led the company's M&A strategy. He currently serves on the boards of several portfolio companies and holds various advisory positions. An avid outdoorsman and endurance athlete, Greg loves spending time with his family, exploring the mountains of Utah and is a 9X Ironman Triathlon Finisher. Greg has a B.S. in Accounting from the Huntsman School of Business USU and an M.B.A. from the Marriott School of Management at BYU where he taught entrepreneurial finance as an adjunct professor for 8 years.

Jim Mahoney - CEO

Jim is the Managing Partner of Huron Capital. In addition to sourcing, evaluating, executing and managing investments, Jim is responsible for setting strategy and managing the operations of the firm. Jim is a member of the firm's Investment Committee and the Huron Capital Board of Directors. His experience includes mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings and restructurings for middle market businesses across a variety of industries. Prior to joining Huron Capital in 2007, Jim was with Conway MacKenzie, Inc., a boutique firm focused on restructurings and special situations. Prior to Conway, Jim was an investment banker with Robert W. Baird & Co. Although his experience covers a range of industries, he is focused primarily on niche segments within the business services space, including facility, infrastructure, and utility services.

Jim Morrow

Jim has 39 years of experience at Detroit Diesel Corporation in operations, manufacturing, remanufacturing and aftermarket support and development, and he provides valuable insight for Huron in the vehicle aftermarket and manufacturing sectors. Jim served as the Vice President of Manufacturing Operations, President and CEO of Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing Corporation, and President of Detroit Diesel Corporation. Following his retirement in mid 2006, Jim established Trisar LLC to provide consulting and resources to the automotive and heavy duty truck industries in the areas of manufacturing, remanufacturing, aftermarket, distribution, and process and component recovery. In 2009, Jim was involved with a new business startup, Electronics Remanufacturing Company (ERC) to remanufacture electronic products for commercial aftermarket products; he currently serves as CEO of this company.

Joe Edwards

John Gialouris

During his 30-year career, John has delivered significant shareholder value to Fortune 500 and private equity companies, both via organic and acquisition-based growth strategies while establishing and expanding lean management business operating systems with strong leadership teams and OPEX-driven cultures. He speaks five languages and has been directly responsible for businesses in more than 40 countries. The St Louis University recognized him in 2009 with their Globalist Award for his contributions in the development of international business management excellence. John has also led global manufacturing and commercial/industrial service businesses in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Oceania that include some of the leading brands in commercial refrigeration (Hussmann - Panasonic), HVAC controls (Invensys: Robertshaw, Ranco, Eliwell), food & beverage process engineering solutions (Invensys-APV, Rexnord) and commercial-residential security and access systems (Invensys-Firex, The Stanley Works). John began his career at United Technologies (Otis Elevator) in the vertical transportation industry.

Jordan Stewart

Kate Hennessy

Prior to joining Huron Capital, Kate was a Senior Accountant at Novogradac & Company LLP where she spent time in both the audit and tax worlds. While at Novogradac, Kate oversaw numerous client engagements in a variety of industries including renewable energy and market-rate rental real estate. Her responsibilities included performing annual financial statement audits, as well as preparing annual tax returns and related workpapers.

Kevin Keneally

Kevin has extensive experience in the films, packaging, and consumer products markets. In 2012, Kevin partnered with Huron and became CEO of Optimum Plastics. Under Kevin's leadership, revenues doubled and the company significantly broadened its service offerings while increasing capacity and expanding the customer base. Prior to Optimum, Kevin was President of New Wincup Holdings, the second largest producer of expanded polystyrene cups and containers in the foodservice disposables market. Prior to New Wincup, Kevin was Vice President and General Manager for AEP/Atlantis Films and Pliant Corporation.

Leah Ierardi - VP

Prior to joining Huron Capital, Leah was a Director in EY-Parthenon's Strategy & Transactions practice. Her responsibilities included advising corporate and private equity clients on M&A strategy through pre-deal diligence, as well as integration and divestiture planning and execution. Prior to EY-Parthenon, Leah was an Associate Investment Director at Cambridge Associates, where she managed investment portfolios ranging from $300M to $4.5B for family and foundation clients.

Mark Levy

Mark Levy brings over 35 years of experience in security and safety to our portfolio. He was President and CEO of Honeywell Life Safety (HLS), a $3.9 billion strategic business unit (a portfolio of global businesses) of Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions (ACS). HLS is a global leader in commercial fire systems and sensors, gas and flame detection and personal protection equipment. During his 14 year tenure at HLS, Mark led the acquisitions of Norcross (US/$1.2B), Sperian (France/$1.4B) and King's Safetywear (Singapore/$338M), among others. Mark's career began at Fire-Lite Alarms, Inc., a modest, 25-employee family business. In 1984, he sold Fire-Lite to the Pittway Corporation of Chicago, Illinois, a long time Fire-Lite customer. Mark remained president of Fire-Lite Alarms, Inc., and in 1987 was additionally named president of NOTIFIER, also acquired by Pittway. Mark's accomplishments have been recognized with the prestigious Honeywell Hero Award in 2001, the top Honeywell Senior Leadership Award in 2004, and as an inaugural inductee into the Security Industry Hall of Fame by Security Sales Magazine. Mark has also served on the Board of Directors of the University of New Haven and as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Easter Seals/Goodwill Industries. He serves as Co-Chairman of Potter Electric Signal which is owned by Gryphon Investors, on the BOD of a NYSE listed SPAC Juniper Industrial Holdings, and on the BOD of privately owned Laticrete Int'l.

Matt Hare

Matt is responsible for fund operations, compliance, and all fund financial transactions, and is also a member of the firm's Investment Committee. He has more than 15 years of M&A execution and portfolio management responsibilities. Prior to joining Huron Capital, Matt was an Associate with PMCF, a boutique investment bank focused on mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings and strategic advisory for middle-market businesses across a variety of industries. His responsibilities there included valuation, financial analysis, project management, and composition of industry research reports.

Mike Beauregard

Mike has over 30 years of corporate development and investment experience with a variety of publicly traded and privately held companies operating in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Mike has been part of the Huron Capital investment team since its inception in 1999. Prior to Huron Capital, Mike was responsible for strategic M&A and corporate finance activities at Duchossois Industries and Sunbeam Corporation (Japonica Partners).

Mr. Barry Ryan

Mr. Barry Ryan, prior to his retirement, served as the President at US Music Corp, a leading supplier of brand name guitars and amplifiers sold worldwide. He currently serves as an Operating Partner at Huron Capital. Prior to US Music, he was President and Chief Executive Officer/Investor of Four Wheel Drive Hardware, a distributor of automotive aftermarket parts and accessories focusing on the off-road market selling direct to customers via direct mail and the web. Mr. Ryan also has previously served as the Vice President and General Manager of Wilson Golf Worldwide, and as the President of Ero Industries, Inc., a manufacturer and marketer of children's leisure licensed products. Early in Mr. Ryan's career, he held various positions with the Huffy Corporation, including President of Huffy Bicycle Company, President of Huffy Sports, Vice President of Sales & Marketing of Gerry Baby Products, and Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Huffy Corporation. Mr. Ryan started his career in the audit practice for KPMG (formerly Peat, Marwick, Mitchell). He also was a Director of Natural Golf Corp. Mr. Ryan received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati and graduated from the Management Development Program at the Harvard Business School.
