INVESTEC was founded in 1998 by Farouk Sheikh. Mr. Sheikh has a Masters in Property Valuation and Law and a Bachelors in Economics from the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE). Mr. Sheikh is also the founder of US REO Fund and First Fidelity REO. US REO Fund (USR) is an investment vehicle focused on acquiring distressed real estate assets. USR has acquired hundreds of assets and provided seller financing to many American families who would not qualify for typical bank financing. First Fidelity REO is a portfolio management company that manages all aspects of acquisition, sales, and disposition of distressed real estate assets.
