Biography
Dr. Nguyen serves as the Co-Director of Biomedical Informatics. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, where he is a faculty member for both the Division of Infectious Diseases and the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. His research interests include applied biomedical informatics, outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy, and nosocomial infections. He is the Medical Director of Electronic Medical Records, where he helps lead the implementation and integration of the Electronic Medical Record for the Health System. He received his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and masters in clinical research from the University of California, Davis.

Michael Snyder is the Stanford Ascherman Professor and Chair of Genetics and the Director of the Center of Genomics and Personalized Medicine. Dr. Snyder received his Ph.D. training at the California Institute of Technology and carried out postdoctoral training at Stanford University. He is a leader in the field of functional genomics and proteomics. His laboratory study was the first to perform a large-scale functional genomics project in any organism, and currently carries out a variety of projects in the areas of genomics and proteomics both in yeast and humans. These include the large-scale analysis of proteins using protein microarrays and the global mapping of the binding sites of chromosomal proteins. His laboratory built the first proteome chip for any organism and the first high resolution tiling array for the entire human genome.

Biography
Todd Ferris, MD, MS is the Director of Informatics Services at the Stanford Center for Clinical Informatics, where he oversees the clinical informatics consultation service. In addition, he is Associate CIO for IT Services and the Privacy Officer for Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Ferris oversees the IT Services components for Information Resources and Technology (IRT) department at the School of Medicine. Dr. Ferris coordinates the HIPAA (Health Information Portability and Accountability Act) implementation at the School of Medicine. His areas of expertise are medical informatics, privacy and security issues, and HIPAA regulations. Dr. Ferris provides regulatory guidance including privacy and security for the STRIDE project.
