Dr. Mariette Steyn is an accredited family physician with a special interest in medical cosmetic procedures and has been a certified Botox® injector since 2008. She is registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario as well as the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Dr. Steyn was born in Pretoria, South Africa and completed her medical education at the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 1987. After finishing her studies she pursued several interests including rotations in pediatrics, radiology, rural medicine and general internal medicine. She obtained a masters degree in Clinical Pharmacology before relocating to Canada. Dr.Steyn practiced Family Medicine in Fort St. John, BC, and then started her own Women's Health Clinic in Brockville, Ontario. In 2006, Dr. Steyn joined the Upper Canada Family Health Team as Family Physician. In 2008, she incorporated medical aesthetics procedures into her family practice. She is now consulting at the Brockville Cosmetic Skin Clinic.
