NGL - Key Persons
Anand has over 40 years of experience in this Industry. He joined New Globe in 1965 and has spearheaded its growth ever since. He expanded its activities from Ocean freight to Air Freight in the early Eighties and created relationships with global giants like Panalpina and Expeditors in the 1980's and 1990's. He has extensive and deep relationships within the Industry be it carriers, foreign agents or competitors. He served as the President of A.C.A.A.I (Air Cargo Agents Association of India) from 1997-1999. It is the only association recognized by the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Airport Authorities, Customs, etc. ACCAI interacts with all other bodies for industry issues. He continues to serve currently on the board of advisors for ACCAI. He has been on the board of many consultation committees to look at issues related to our industry. Anand holds a Bachelors of Science Degree from Mumbai University.
Anuj has varied experience across Banking, Equity markets and Freight Forwarding. He has set up teams for Derivatives Trading during his tenure at HSBC Investment Bank (in India) and was running proprietary capital for Merrill Lynch (in Hong Kong) prior to joining New Globe. He is now coordinating and implementing the roll out of the companies ERP solution. Anuj holds a MBA from Manchester Business School (UK) and a Bachelors degree in Commerce from Sydenham college.
Ashwin has over 20 years of experience working with different organizations in this industry. He began his career with Hanjin Shipping in India in 1993. He then worked with Panalpina in Singapore (1994-96) in the Sales department. Since joining New Globe in 1996 he has been instrumental in developing strong partnerships and alliances with our overseas agents and developing both the Export and Import side of the business. He has been instrumental in getting New Globe ISO registered in 2003. Ashwin holds a Bachelors in Commerce Degree from Sydenham college in Mumbai.
At NGL, Nomita is responsible for overall development of all verticals. With an overall experience of 30 years in the Cargo Industry, Nomita is well versed with the logistics industry which is so dynamic and competitive. Having started her career with Air France - KLM Cargo, managing Customer Services for India, she was responsible for Reservations, Pricing, Admiration, Claims & Complaints, Capacity Management and Trainings. Thereafter she was in-charge of Business Development which included Revenue & Flight Optimization, Performance Reviews, Budgets, Contracts, Reports & Analysis for a General Sales Agent ( Cargo ). Nomita' s expertise lies in improving the organizations market position and achieving financial growth by defining long-term strategic goals, building key customer relations, identifying business opportunities, procuring market intelligence, negotiating and successively closing business deals. She is an advocate for NGL's values being Trust, Transparency, Team work and Responsibility.
