NOTLA WATER AUTHORITY

Notla Water Authority (formerly Notla Water Association) was created and established in 1965 by the Notla Water Authority Act (House Bill No. 1534). The Authority has grown from a one-well water system with a few miles of distribution lines to one of the largest rural water systems in the state of Georgia, with a surface water treatment plant, a state-certified drinking water laboratory, two groundwater wells drawing from an unconfined crystalline aquifer, and over 550 linear miles of water distribution lines. Our water plant adds treatment chemicals aluminum sulfate, soda ash, phosphate, fluoride, and chlorine to treat the source water to a quality acceptable by the US EPA. Notla Water Authority (NWA) has 8 ground storage tanks throughout the system, with a combined storage capacity of over 3.6 million gals. NWA provides a reliable water supply to over 6,600 residential and commercial meters... We are truly blessed to have such an experienced, hard-working group of civic minded..
