We advance and promote our work by means of community outreach, holding seminars, networking, meetings, fund raising and other events to support community development projects in Peruvian villages and other communities overseas and elsewhere. We fund raise to provide technical, material and monetary support for projects within communities, who in turn provide the labor for those projects, which contributes to the general well being... We are returned Peace Corps Volunteers (PCV), former Peace Corps (PC) staff and family, renewing and continuing our community development work which began with our early experiences in PC service. John O'Brien (PCV 1962-4; 70) and Bob Tatgenhorst (PCV 1969-72) founded PCD in 2008 on their return trip to visit the sites of their joint 1970 PC disaster relief service in Perú.
