PATRICK THIBERT STUDIOS

Patrick Thibert was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, in 1943. He studied chemical technology at the Western Ontario Institute of Technology, Windsor, 1961-65, but then went on to study fine art at the University of Windsor, (BFA), Windsor, Ontario, 1968-72, as well as fine art at the Florida State University, (MFA), Tallahassee, USA, 1972-74... Patrick has worked mainly three dimensionally over the years. His work moved from being abstract through the 70's and early 80's to working with narrative from the late 80's to 2010. His narratives have unfolded using symbols and metaphors. These sculptures have dealt with aspects of his life as a springboard to developing new ways of presenting his sculptural ideas.
