Mr. Solnoki came to Florida to pursue a college degree at Stetson University. During his time at Stetson, he was an honor roll student and earned a Dean's Scholarship. While obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Mr. Solnoki chose to further pursue his academic aspirations by attending Nova Southeastern University Law School. It was there that he obtained his Juris Doctorate Degree. While at law school, Mr. Solnoki became intrigued with the Criminal Justice System and interned with the Broward County State Attorney's office, where he gained invaluable trial experience. This experience with the State Attorney's Office heightened Mr. Solnoki's awareness of the injustices and indignities suffered by many people accused of committing crimes. After being admitted to the Florida Bar in 2003, Mr. Solnoki was employed by the Public Defender's Office in Sarasota. Mr. Solnoki worked for over 3 years compiling extensive trial and litigation experience. Mr. Solnoki has represented over a thousand individuals accused of crimes, trying many cases, including serious felonies. In addition to having vast experience in criminal defense, he has practiced in Family Law for over 15 years.

During that time, she also served as an intern with the Stamford Connecticut Probation Office. While serving as an intern, Heather became interested in cases where criminal and family law overlapped, particularly in the areas of domestic violence and child abuse. Heather earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Quinnipiac College of Law in Hamden, Connecticut in 1995. She graduated in the top 1/3 of her class and was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award for Trial Practice. While working her way through law school, she interned for the private law firm of Cohen & Marlow in New Haven, Connecticut from 1993 to 1995. Heather Byrd became a member of the Florida Bar in 1996. She has been admitted to practice in the Federal Court of the Middle District of Florida and all State Courts in Florida. She is an active member of the Inns of Court in Sarasota, County. Heather is an Officer and Partner of The Byrd Law Firm and has run an active family law practice since 1998. She has extensive experience in the area of family law in Sarasota, Florida. Heather is trained in Family Mediation and Certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Family Mediator. Heather is also trained in accordance with IACP (International Academy of Collaborative Professionals) standards and requirements. Mr. Derek Byrd specializes in Criminal Law and is board-certified by the Florida Bar as a Criminal Trial Attorney. The Florida Bar considers Mr. Byrd an "expert" in criminal trial law. Derek Byrd was born and raised in the Sarasota/Bradenton area. He grew up watching his father defend high-profile criminal cases in the old Sarasota County Courthouse. Derek's father's legal skills and the excitement surrounding the legal system inspired Derek to become a criminal defense attorney. He graduated from Florida State University in 1990 with a B. A. in Criminology and went on to earn his Juris Doctorate Degree in 1995 from Quinnipiac College of Law in Hamden, Connecticut graduating cum laude (top 5% of his class). While in law school, Derek concentrated his studies on criminal and trial law and he served as Notes and Comments Editor for the Law Review Journal.
