Chi-Chi Moneke joined The Beck Law Firm, LLC, as our Legal Assistant in January 2022. She grew up in Lawrenceville and is currently perusing her Master's in Criminal Justice at Georgia State University. She has been an incredible addition to our team and continues to provide nothing but excellence to our firm. She loves getting to know our clients and her favorite part of her job is getting to work with Joel and forming a close relationship with our team. Every time someone walks through the door, they know Chi-Chi will be there to greet them with a warm smile and make them feel welcomed.
She is a fanatic about comedy and often watches comedy movies and TV shows. She also enjoys reading and writing, learning new things through podcasts, and spending time with her friends and family. We are grateful to have her and look forward to growing with her.

Joel Beck founded The Beck Law Firm, LLC in 2007. The firm focused on business law and estate planning needs of clients, two areas that he was drawn to based upon personal and business experiences in his life, including a ten-year career at NASD (now known as FINRA), where he served in various roles, including a six-year span as an attorney in the Enforcement Department). Now, with more than 16 years serving the community, The Beck Law Firm, LLC has earned a reputation among clients and other professionals of providing comprehensive, detailed, and practical legal advice, in addition to a high level of service to its clients. Through Peach State Wills and Trusts, the estate planning and probate division of the firm, our clients are guided through the development of customized estate plans, so that they have peace of mind knowing that, should something happen to them, the right plans are in place to address those "what if?" situations in life. And, when probate is necessary, the firm helps settle the estates of a family's loved one.
Joel grew up in Gwinnett County, and his family recently moved out of Lawrenceville to the country. He and his wife have been married for 29 years and have two children, including Zach who is an attorney in the firm as well. Joel has been involved in various community organizations over the years, previously serving as president of the Board of Directors for Family Promise of Gwinnett County, an organization providing shelter and assistance to homeless families, and serving on the board of the Grayson High School Band Association. In addition, he has volunteered for several community organizations and served in different programs and ministries with his church and other organizations.
Professionally, Joel earned an undergraduate degree in business administration from Georgia Southern University and later earned his law degree (JD), magna cum laude, from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a recipient of the West Publishing Company Award for Academic Excellence in law school. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and is licensed to practice in all state courts in Georgia, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Joel's practice focuses on representing individuals and families, including business owners, in a variety of estate, probate and business planning needs, as well as representing financial advisors in simple and complex regulatory and compliance matters. Joel is an attorney member of WealthCounsel, which, among other things, provides him access to high quality and comprehensive continuing education and training on estate planning topics that directly benefits his clients.
Recently, Joel was a contributing author for Estate Planning Strategies: Collective Wisdom, Proven Techniques of WealthCounsel Attorneys, 2 nd Edition, released in 2022. Joel also authored The Financial Advisor's Guide to Regulatory Investigations (available on Amazon).
For fun, Joel enjoys traveling with his family, playing drums, watching movies, and spending time with family and good friends. Joel never imagined himself as a lawyer when he was young; his first job was as a magician performing for kids' birthday parties while in middle and high school.

Zach Beck joined The Beck Law Firm, LLC/Peach State Wills & Trusts in January 2023 and is focused on estate and business planning matters, and probate. He was drawn to estate and business planning because he understands that anybody can be impacted by a planning situation - whether it's their own estate plan or someone else's - and knows that by creating custom solutions for clients, he can help people, including business owners, prepare for those "what-if" situations. He enjoys working with clients to give them the confidence and peace of mind that they have a plan in place to protect their loved ones and themselves, and for business owners, their companies, too.
Zach is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and is licensed to practice in all state courts in Georgia, as well as the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Georgia. He earned an undergraduate degree in business administration at the University of Georgia, magna cum laude, and later earned his law degree at Georgia State University College of Law, J.D., magna cum laude.
Zach married in December 2023, and he and his wife now live in the Decatur area. For fun he enjoys traveling to new places with his loved ones and exploring new restaurants around the Atlanta area. One of his favorite places to visit was London because he loved being surrounded by history and got to explore the beautiful city while it was decorated for the holidays, though he will soon be honeymooning in Iceland. He also enjoys running in races. He recently ran the Atlanta Ten-Miler, and has also run the Athens Half-Marathon.
