VENTURE ANALYSIS - Key Persons

Anita Eglitis - Founder

Job Titles:
  • Founder
  • Principal
Anita founded Venture Analysis in 1999 after observing the lack of specialised risk management services to support private equity investors during the technology boom and help them avert the losses that would inevitably ensue. Anita has extensive experience in the evaluation: of large corporate and public sector capital expenditure projects and investments (many in the $100m to $1bn range), and of private equity investment in early-stage technology companies. Anita has held a range of senior positions in the Australian financial sector and in the Commonwealth and Victorian governments. Some of her previous roles have been: Director of the Project Governance & Review Group in the Victorian Department of Infrastructure, Associate Director in the Project & Structured Finance Division of the ANZ Investment Bank, Senior Manager with the ANZ Bank strategic projects advisory group, providing analysis of major technology/capital expenditure projects and leading several strategy reviews of poorly-performing projects and equity investments, Vice President with a technology investment banking organisation and Director of Investments for a venture capital fund. She has also held economic policy and economic research roles in the private and public sectors, having been: a senior international economist with a major bank (in the early 1990s), and a macroeconomic policy adviser with the Commonwealth Treasury in Canberra (in the late 1980s). Anita's tertiary qualifications include an MA in economics from Cambridge University, a BA from Macquarie University and the AICD Company Director's Diploma. Anita participates actively in the Melbourne business and academic communities. In 2001 she was elected to the Committee of the Cambridge Society of Australia, and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Anita has participated as a speaker in many seminars and conferences over the years.
