Founded in 1992 by Mark Howards, 3D Shapes grew as a full product design and development firm including industrial design, mechanical engineering and analysis. Our name came from the complex 3-D modeling, machinable free-form surface geometry and 3-D tool designs we were creating even before reliable solid modeling based CAD tools existed... When Moldflow Corp. acquired AC Technology and their C-MOLD product, we became an original member of Moldflow's Certified Consultant Network. In 2008 Autodesk acquired Moldflow Corp. Through experience and the rigorous certification process we became an Autodesk Certified Expert (Gold) Consultant in 2011... Our expertise includes a broad of knowledge of part design, tool design and process engineering through 100's of analysis projects completed over 30 years.
