Ashley specializes in general, family and employment-based immigration, including non-immigrant and immigrant visas. Ashley's experience includes a variety of immigration matters, including naturalization, adjustment of status, petitions to remove conditions on residence, fiancé visas (K-1), provisional unlawful presence waivers (I-601A), applications for permission to reapply for admission (I-212), waivers of grounds of inadmissibility (I-601), and U nonimmigrant status (U visa). She represents victims of domestic violence; surviving family members, including widows and widowers; special immigrant juveniles; and Dreamers. She also represents employers seeking temporary workers, individuals of extraordinary ability, artists, and entertainers.
Ashley is a Dallas native and graduate of Duke University. Before earning her law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School, Ashley worked as a project manager in the financial services industry. While in law school, Ashley participated in the Vanderbilt Intellectual Property & the Arts Clinic. She also interned with a Nashville-based immigration firm, clerked at the American Civil Liberties Union, and was a research assistant. She partnered with Nashville organizations to carry out emergency response plans in immigrant communities and participated in the Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps JD program. As a result of her community involvement, Ashley received the Damali K. Booker Award for legal activism and the Pro Bono Service Award.
After earning her law degree, Ashley worked for a Hawaii state agency where her responsibilities included monitoring federal fair housing and regulatory compliance, researching amendments to state administrative rules, and drafting agency policies. During her time there, she received an Award for High Standards of Excellence for her part in managing a complex legal action plan.
Prior to joining Akula & Associates, Ashley represented clients in matters before the family court, including divorces and child custody matters. She also represented individuals in removal proceedings before the Executive Office for Immigration Review and the Board of Immigration Appeals. Ashley has extensive experience representing clients pursuing immigration options following criminal convictions, negative encounters with Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and removal orders. Ashley is passionate about helping businesses and individuals find the immigration solutions that best fit their needs.

Daniele Volfe focuses her law practice on matters exclusively related to immigration law. She has successfully represented businesses and employers in applying for several non-immigrant and immigrant visas. She also represented several foreign nationals who were applying for a variety immigration benefits such as family-based petitions, naturalization and citizenship, and humanitarian visas. In addition, she represented clients who were in removal proceedings.
Daniele Volfe attended law school in Brazil at Universidade Estadual de Maringa. In Brazil, she worked along a State Prosecutor on civil cases involving State matters by drafting motions and briefs for state trial courts. She graduated from Southern Methodist University where she obtained her LL.M. degree in International and Comparative Law.
Daniele Volfe is originally from Brazil and, as an immigrant herself, she understands the struggles of dealing with the American immigration legal system. Her own immigration challenges moved her to become a passionate immigration law advocate.

Katrina Moore is a Senior Attorney at Akula & Associates and Operations Administrator. She represents clients in permanent and temporary immigration employment and family-based matters. Specifically, Katrina assists corporate clients in H-1B, E-2, TN, L-1, and H-2B matters. Ms. Moore considers the immigration regulations in conjunction with the business needs when advising clients. She enjoys complex family-immigration related matters and is versed in using all available resources to obtain each client's desired outcome.
Katrina spent her summers growing up in Washington, D.C., and from a young age, she was fortunate to have relationships with other children from around the world whose families migrated to or worked in our nation's capital. She appreciated the different cultures, languages, food, and experiences she mutually shared with others. It is one of the reasons she enjoys the field of immigration law.
She has established herself as an active member of her community in North Dallas. Katrina is a community educator and speaks on immigration-related topics of interest. In addition, she has served on state immigration-related committees focused on deterring human trafficking and continues to volunteer in her local organizations committed to supporting this population.

Kavitha Akula, the founder and managing attorney of Akula & Associates, completed her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Southern University, Baton Rouge, LA USA and Masters of Law (LLM) from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, USA, Ms. Akula is admitted to practice as an attorney in Texas and represents clients including individual entrepreneurs, family-owned businesses and private/public companies. Ms. Akula's legal experience includes intellectual property, immigration, mergers & acquisitions, corporate law, taxation, and estate planning.

Shih-Han is an Associate Attorney specializing in immigration law, including family-based immigration petitions (e.g., marriage green card, family preference green card, etc.), employment-based petitions (e.g., L visa, H-1B, EB-1/EB-2/EB-3, O-1, etc.), naturalization, and non-immigrant visa petitions.
Prior to joining Akula & Associates, she worked as Immigration Associate Attorney in a boutique law firm in Dallas, TX, and as Immigration Law Clerk in a law firm in New York.
Shih-Han's interest in immigration law stems from her pro bono work in the Capital Area Immigrants' Rights Coalition (CAIR Coalition) in Washington, D.C. during her graduate study at Georgetown University Law Center. She assisted the staff attorneys at the organization in providing legal information and helping immigrants and non-immigrants with their legal needs. As a foreign national herself in the U.S., Shih-Han also has personal experience gone through visa application process and understands the difficulties and obstacles foreign nationals might have. As a result of her experience with CAIR Coalition, Shih-Han had the opportunity to learn about stories of others and appreciate even more the difficulties immigrants and non-immigrants face.
Shih-Han graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 2018, where she served as LL.M. House of Delegates at the Georgetown Law Student Bar Association. She received her Bachelor of Laws degree from FuJen Catholic University in Taiwan in 2013. During her undergraduate study, she established the Asian Law Students' Association Taiwan. Being the founder and president of the organization, she gained profound academic experience as well as interpersonal and communication skills from participating in large international meetings and working with legal professionals nationwide and worldwide.
