Alex Ridgway joined Brickmoon Design in 2009 after working as a ranch and mountain home architect in his native Eagle, Colorado. Alex earned B.Arch and M.Arch degrees from Tulane University and has 25 years of experience in the architectural profession. At Brickmoon, Alex works closely with clients, listening to their visions, and creating designs that reflect those needs, while overseeing the design process all the way through the completion of construction. In addition to his responsibilities as the Design Principal, Alex also heads the Hill Country office for Brickmoon Design where he brings his experience to serve clients throughout Central Texas. He holds architectural licenses in both Texas and Colorado and is also a licensed interior designer in the state of Texas.
Alex is passionate about residential design and understanding the positive impact that thoughtful architecture can have on ourselves, our families and our communities. He enjoys travelling with his family, exploring new places and new experiences and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Danielle Nichols is the Design Director for The Woodlands. She has been drawing floor plans of her rooms across the world since she was young. As the daughter of an oil and gas industry family, she moved nine times in thirteen years across four different countries. She earned her Bachelor of Architecture degree at Mississippi State University and joined Brickmoon Design just weeks after graduation. Danielle rose to become a Project Manager at Brickmoon, worked as the Lead Architect for a custom home builder in The Heights, and then returned to Brickmoon to lead the branch in The Woodlands. Danielle works hard to listen to the clients' vision and design a beautiful home that fits their aesthetic and their lifestyle. She holds an architectural license in Texas.
Danielle is married with two beautiful children. She is a craft enthusiast, avid church member, and hand lettering novice.
Jeremy McFarland started Brickmoon Design out of a personal passion for practical, beautiful, and creative design. A native Texan, Jeremy studied Environmental Design at Texas A&M University and then received his Master of Architecture from Arizona State University and has 25 years of experience in the architectural profession. At Brickmoon, Jeremy has built one of the most visionary and innovative design firms in the Houston area. Throughout his career, Jeremy has been singled out for his remarkable listening skills, his strong personal relationships with clients, his willingness to go the extra mile, and his creative solutions to practical challenges. He is passionate about great houses and happy homeowners.
Jeremy is an avid fisherman, a devoted husband, an active church member, and the father of four wonderful children.

- Construction Administration Director
Joel James is the Construction Administration Director for Brickmoon Design. After receiving his Master of Architecture degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio, he spent time as a project manager, building homes in the San Antonio and Austin areas. From there, Joel worked for a residential architect in Cincinnati, Ohio before returning back to his native Texas roots to join Brickmoon Design. These experiences have driven his passion for how a house is put together. He enjoys working with builders to help bring the clients vision to life.
Outside of the office, Joel loves to play golf, work around the house and spend time with his wife and their three daughters.
Justin Patterson joined the Brickmoon Design team in 2017, after working in the custom estate home design industry for over 16 years. After graduating from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors in Environmental Design, Justin found his passion for client leadership and home design in 2001. Blending client desires and vision with industry leading design techniques, Justin is able to guide clients to the best solution for their home. Practical luxury is the goal, and every home is designed as though it was for personal use. As the Design Director at Brickmoon Design | Houston, Justin is a key part of the design process for all projects in the Houston office, and helps maintain the Brickmoon level of accuracy, elegance, and refinement for which we have become well known.
Justin enjoys the water - whether it be the pool, the lake, or the beach. Fishing is his relaxation technique, and he tries to share this with his wife and three children as often as possible.
