Burroughs Machine Tool Products is a Precision CNC Job Shop located in Charleston, Maine. It is owned and operated by Alan (Burroughs) Clemence, an expert CNC and conventional machinist who lived and worked for many years in the North Shore area of Massachusetts. Our service area is Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine, with occasional customers in other states. It is a small company with 2 to 3 skilled machinists. Of course, we do not have all the extensive capabilities of some of the fine, large job shops. But we do have real talent and professional expertise in combination with lower operating costs. This often translates into real savings for our customers. The core machining capability is a Vertical Machining Center that is slightly larger than the basic VMC. We utilize an Excel 810 which has an accommodating Y axis travel of 20 inches and Z travel of 22 inches. X travel is 32 inches. Spindle motor is 15 HP. This Excel 810 VMC is certainly not the most fancy Machining Center..
