Cassandra Soto

Cassandra joined us in 2012 with years of experience in custom kitchen design and coordination. She brings with her an understanding of high-pressure deadlines and high-end finishes, as well as a knowledge of new forms of lighting brought about by the recent government requirements. Cassandra graduated with an Interior Design degree from LaRoche College and has worked in the Design and Construction field since. She has learned over the years to ask all the right questions to get the job done correctly. Her outgoing personality and inquisitive mind make her a valuable and welcome addition to our team.

Jeffrey Scott

Job Titles:
  • Project Foreman
Jeff comes to us with 32 years' of experience refining his technical expertise in the rebuilding trade. He is excellent in trouble shooting and problem solving. He studied under stained glass Master Artist, Tony Glander for 12 years. He also studied under nationally known artists Peter McGrain, Newy Faggan, Kenneth Leap, and Stu Goldman. Jeff's experience in foundations and masonry techniques has equipped him with an intimate knowledge of structural systems, geotechnical and hydraulic effects on buildings. He spent time working with and learning from one of the premiere decorative painters in the Washington area becoming much sought after in his own right.

Kirk Denton

  • Staff Consultant With a Degree in Historic Preservation
Kirk Denton comes to us as a staff consultant with a degree in Historic Preservation from Roger Williams University. He has worked in the preservation and design field for more than 30 years and has a client list that spans the United States. His design firm has completed renovation, re-design and construction projects at some of the best addresses in Washington, DC as well as up and down the East Coast. With vast experience in traditional design, architectural history and construction methods, Kirk brings an eye for detail to every project he is involved in. We are fortunate to be able to call on his experience for all our projects.

Richard Leatherman

Job Titles:

Richard started his own contracting business in 1978 with over 30 years of experience in both the residential and commercial business. He has worked with many of the top interior designers and architect firms in the Washington Metropolitan area, has overseen numerous renovation contracts with hotels such as Hilton, Courtyard Marriot, Holiday Inn and as a sub-contractor has worked extensively on luxury condominiums, apartments, tenant office space, and insurance claim projects. Richard's expertise also extends into historic preservation and the restoration of historic properties. As our Project�s Foreman of various jobs his typical responsibilities include the hiring and scheduling of sub-contractors, overseeing, inspecting and approving all work completed prior to final inspections, and the final payments released to sub-contractors. He draws from all this experience and we are happy to have him as part of our team at Catoctin Construction.
