C.L.O.U.T

C.L.O.U.T. is a county-wide organization that opposes a landfill that recieves and processes out of county trash being built inside Cherokee County. Waste Management has recently proposed a landfill that will be located inside the Mckowns Mountain community. The total acreage of the proposed site is 1,550 acreas and could bring in trash from a 75 mile radius. Such a landfill will have a negative impact on the county and the community, making Cherokee County the "Dump of the South."
