Camelia Mirela Wright

Mirela's American dream started in 2000, when she decided to move to United States from Romania. Inspired and encouraged by the founder of the company, George Engel, Mirela started as a Project Manager with a small security and low voltage contract. Today, as Director of Service, she takes pride in her work ensuring New York residents across the City's five boroughs are safe! Mirela quickly became known as a leader who could take care of client requests for emergency and non-emergency issues and keep projects running smooth and efficiently. "My bad habit is curiosity….my mother once told me that I started asking questions before I could speak."

David Engel - CTO

David joined EIA in 1995 and developed his skill set by leveraging his IT knowledge and his Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from University of Massachusetts. He is a New York State licensed expert in security and fire alarm systems and holds several certifications in physical security and networking such as Milestone, S2, and Cisco systems. As CTO, David works across EIA's overall organization to provide leading edge technology and application services. He believes that effectively providing IT services directly results in a significant competitive advantage across the business. He has expanded EIA's technology infrastructure to include cloud hosting services and business continuity. Recently, David led the development of an in-house enterprise dispatch application to manage a dynamic workforce. The system creates a streamline dispatch to payroll process while providing both a data repository for labor performance analysis and integrating into the accounting system to increase efficiencies. David lives in southern Florida with his wife Aracelis and son Elijah. He enjoys mountain bike trail riding, exotic cars, and the occasional motorcycle ride.

George Engel - Founder

George founded EIA operations in 1977 as a low voltage services provider. Through his leadership, EIA transformed into a provider of multiple diverse services such as IT support, security and electrical over the next four decades. Under his guidance, EIA has always striven to deliver high value services that result in customer retention. Internal retention was also vital to George, and he made it a key point to make EIA and its employees treat each other like family. Presently, George provides consulting services to EIA as needed and his input is highly valued by all in the organization! George is an Air Force Vietnam Veteran and a graduate in Aircraft Manufacturing from Vaughn College. He lives in New York City with his wife Sofie and enjoys driving his cars and motorhome as well as spending time with his family and grandchildren!

Greg Canonico

In his role, Greg oversees the estimating team which works to provide accurate project costing through budgeting, hard bids, value engineering, & design build projects to our clients. Greg brought a lifetime of experience in the electrical industry to EIA when he joined in 2015, knowledge that he started gaining since high school! After learning the field work, transitioned into an office role as an estimator and project manager for various companies across NYC over the past 20 years. Since joining EIA, Greg and his team have a consistently healthy track record and win ratio - however, what is more important to him is creating long lasting relationships with both his peers and clients who can rely on him! "It's more than about the project award for me, it's rewarding to know that when a company or project exec or a fellow estimator has to get the job done, they know they can rely on me and my team to deliver." Greg lives in Connecticut with his wife Teresa, their two children Victoria and Matthew and their 2 dogs. They all enjoy spending quality time together skiing, biking, having dinner with friends and going to Cape Cod in the summer. On weekends Greg can be found attending their daughter's gymnastics meets and their son's soccer games. When he has downtime, Greg can be found working on his Mustang, going to car shows and taking care of his aquarium.

Gus Klidas

Gus joins the EIA family with over thirty years of experience working with energy, utility, and heavy construction. Construction of such large structures requires extensive engineering and project management due diligence. After obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from NYIT, Gus honed his craft with LILCO while performing various management roles for seventeen years. He worked in and led teams that refitted power stations, built electric substations and gas regulator stations, and designed and installed thousands of miles of pipes and wires. He has developed a solid foundation from being a part of and in managing construction operations. Gus learned that a team-oriented mentality and results-driven operation is the key to success. After LILCO, Gus obtained his Master's degree in Management Information Systems from the Polytechnic Institute of NY. The knowledge and skills that he learned allowed him to venture into the private sector of construction, where Gus successfully built the utility construction divisions for two privately held hundred million dollar companies. His skillsets and talent allowed him to perform Project Management, General Manager, and Vice President roles for these organizations and helped them grow in revenue year over year! Gus assisted several construction companies by improving operations through cost and production metric development and implementation to sharpen his toolkit further. This at times involved the installation and training of third-party software or the development of databases and spreadsheets, which provided decision-makers the information they needed to be successful in their roles. His guiding principle in all his endeavors has been "operational excellence for sustainable success!". On the personal front, Gus and his wife of 30 years live in Smithtown, NY, with their dogs Pica and Boo. In addition to enjoying the outdoors, especially the water with his fishing rod in hand, Gus loves to spend quality time with his precious newborn grandson, Carter John.

Matthew Orent - COO

Matt joined EIA in 2014 after an over 20-year career in the financial services field and has led the company to new heights! As COO, Matt is responsible for the day to day operations as well as overseeing the Business Development, Engineering/Estimating, Operations, and Project Management teams. After Matt graduated from Syracuse University with a B.S. in Finance, he started his corporate career at Bloomberg LP. While there, he was a key member in the development and launch of Bloomberg Law (BLAW) in his 9 years with the firm. After leaving Bloomberg, he spent six years in the start-up world as an operator across various industries. During this time, he was responsible for expanding the firms' footprints in the Government, Legal, Financial and Technology sectors. During his time at EIA, Matt has taken the business in a new direction and the company has thrived under his leadership! His mandate when joining was to stabilize the company while also implementing a growth strategy for the future. This has led to his building strong relationships both with clients and within the organization. To Matt, clients are the lifeline to keeping EIA thriving and growing, however he also places tremendous emphasis on the internal culture by creating a family environment at EIA. Matt lives on the Upper East Side with his wife and two children. On weekends, he can be found spending time with his family, watching football (or any sports), chauffeuring his daughters to hockey or other activities. Matt also enjoys traveling and taking trips with the kids or vacations just he and his wife.

Yolanda "Yoly" Del Prado - CFO, President

Joining EIA as a bookkeeper in 1989, Yoly embodies the American dream. She rose to the role of CFO in 1998 and was later appointed President in 2017. Her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Magna Cum Laude and being a CPA from the University of the East in the Philippines got her started. However, it was her dedication, motivation and resourcefulness that made her a successful CFO and now President. As CFO, Yoly oversaw several departments within EIA, including Accounting, Finance, Administration and Human Resources. Now, as President, she overseas all other executives and staff and is directly involved in managing its financial objectives and budgets. Her mission is to make sure that the entire team delivers nothing but the finest in seamless integrated technologies and services to EIA's government and private sector clients while keeping in tune with the organization's overall financial goals. Yoly lives in Somerset New Jersey with her husband and has two professionally successful children. She is rejuvenated by picking up a good book or making a nice meal, both relaxing activities to balance an exciting and fast-paced career.
