Erika Handler

Erika Handler, a partner at Weinstein Family Law, focuses her practice exclusively on matrimonial and family law, including divorce, custody and parenting time, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, relocation, post-dissolution matters and other related family matters. She is also experienced in residential real estate law which is invaluable when dealing with the distribution of assets in the divorce process that involves the sale of the marital home or other real estate holdings. Erika understands that even in the most amicable of circumstances, going through a divorce can be a fear-provoking time for the entire family. She works tirelessly to ensure that her clients are educated and informed of their rights and options throughout the legal process. She is dedicated to guiding and protecting her clients through zealous advocacy, out of the box solutions, and a cognizance of the financial expense associated with divorce and family matters. Prior to entering into private practice, Erika served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Thomas L. Weisenbeck, J.S.C., Morris County Family Part (now retired). During law school, Erika served as a law clerk for the Attorney General's Office, Division of Youth and Family Services, Newark and volunteered with the law school's Special Education Clinic working to secure school accommodations for children with special needs. For nearly 25 years, Evan has focused his legal practice on family law, regularly representing high net-worth individuals in complex disputes relating to child custody, alimony and child support, property distribution, business valuation, executive compensation, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and same-sex partnership issues. A seasoned negotiator and trial lawyer, he has resolved disputes through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation in courts throughout New Jersey. Clients rely on Evan for his guidance, keen insight, and legal acumen, as well as his empathy and common-sense approach to resolution of even the thorniest of disputes.
