Hamtech, Inc. was founded in April of 1996 by Dave Hamelund. Dave owned and operated a machine shop on M-20 in Big Rapids, called Big Rapids Machine & Assembly, Inc., 15 years prior to moving the business to the Industrial Park in Big Rapids. His father, Frank (Les) worked along side him sharing his expertise. His brother John joined them just before the move and business name change... Hamtech provides the same quality service and the personal one-on-one customer relationships that Big Rapids Machinery & Assembly offered all of its customers. Since moving into our expanded facilities, we have continued to expand our line of service, both in the custom machining market as well as our ability to efficiently handle large production runs. Of course, the company is still owned and operated by Dave. We are sorry to say Frank (Les) passed away Oct. 5, 2004... A page devoted to Hamtech, Inc. a full service machine shop.
